Where did i win??

  • My bowling: I played 5 seamers on a Humid/Uneven, with three of them being fm or f. He played 4 seamers, only one being a fm.
  • Fatigue: I came into the match with less fatigue, 4 players on revived, everyone else on rested. He was all over the place
  • Batting Orders: I can't speak on behalf of my opponent, but i had both openers on "D". George Tonge carried my innings making 89 off 112. And number 6 Harku made 50* off 28, having him on "A" was a good thing.

Result: PowerBugCC won by 114 runs

***I been thinking lately that just posting our results isn't really helping us much. This is why today i chose to write in "why i won." I believe that if more of us, if you have the time, were to to do something similar, then some of us newer players (and older players too) can figure more out about tactics and stuff.

37.6   W   Patterson to Alam : [catch] Tossed up on the stumps and Alam slogs across the line. The ball clips the leading edge and balloons up towards mid-off.
T. Alam c R. Ring b. J. Patterson 149 (100b 11x4 4x6) SR:149.00
37.5   6   Patterson to Alam : It's high, it's handsome, it has hit someone in the crowd. Ouch!
37.4   6   Patterson to Alam : Like a red headed kid in summer, the ball was desperate to avoid the sun and find some shade. Lucky the stands are covered.... six runs.
37.3   6   Patterson to Alam : Nailed it. Yep - that's gone! A big, thumping strike over long-on. He just stood, swung and the ball sailed for six, several rows back.
That is the 50 partnership (50 runs, 38b, 2x4, 1x6) SR:131.58
37.2   4   Patterson to Alam : Text book sweep by Alam and it's four runs on the score.
37.1   1   Patterson to Lowery : Moved forward confidently to drive the ball into the covers.

went out in style, all I can say 8)

   End of over 49 (1 run) - Legendary Gweebs(139-10) RR 2.84
S. Cuppens 12 (13b) , A. Qassem 9.3-0-34-2

48.5   W   Warne to Qassem : Warne musters up all the effort he can and fires in a toe crusher. Qassem obliges by getting himself in line with the stumps and the umpire raises his finger.
F. Qassem lbw b. W. Warne 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
That is 5 wickets for Warne!
48.4   W   Warne to Selvi : [catch] Goes for the big lofted drive, but doesn't time it at all and rather tamely picks out Harrop on the edge of the circle.
H. Selvi c H. Harrop b. W. Warne 28 (59b 1x4 0x6) SR:47.46
48.3   1   Warne to Sharma : Stroked elegantly through the cover region by Sharma out to Lesnar sweeping on the boundary.
48.2   W   Warne to Rogers : [catch] Slower ball outside the off stump, Rogers doesn't get the required elevation to clear the man inside the circle and holes out to McKintosh at mid-off. It's a combination of smart bowling and poor batting.
T. Rogers c W. McKintosh b. W. Warne 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
48.1   W   Warne to Moses : Oh dear... That wasn't one to be played and he's drawn that back onto his stumps. Delight for Warne and his teammates but it's a cheap wicket.
S. Moses b. W. Warne 52 (93b 2x4 0x6) SR:55.91

Warne cleans up the tail!  :o
Leaves him with 6 wickets and a career PB.

Doogie

The Fastie strikes again!

0.1   W   Arnberger to Russell : [catch] Got him! Poor shot from Russell after the ball was full and on legside. He tried to flick it through midwicket but only succeeded in firing it straight to the strategically placed Gale at backward square leg.
D. Russell c J. Gale b. R. Arnberger 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

0.2   .   Arnberger to Marshall : Good ball from Arnberger, it squares up and misses the edge of Marshall's bat by a millimetre.

0.3   W   Arnberger to Marshall : Yorked him! Great delivery. Marshall had backed away to make room, but cannot make contact and leg stump is uprooted!
D. Marshall b. R. Arnberger 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

0.4   W   Arnberger to Clark : [catch] Arnberger strikes! It was outside the off stump, Clark a bit lazy with the drive through the off side, gets the edge through to Ommar behind the wicket, who takes the catch at a comfortable height.
N. Clark c Z. Ommar b. R. Arnberger 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

0.5   W   Arnberger to McIntyre : That ball from Arnberger has nipped off the pitch and cannoned into the pads of McIntyre. The umpire has given it and McIntyre is not very happy with that decision. The replay shows that it was missing leg by quite a considerable margin.
G. McIntyre lbw b. R. Arnberger 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
      A hattrick for Arnberger!

0.6   .   Arnberger to Hughes : There's a big shout for LBW from Ommar but the umpire keeps his finger down despite the protests. Hughes is thanking his lucky stars that he got an edge on the ball.

Then bang bang again!!

2.1   W   Arnberger to Hughes : [catch] It was a hopeless long-hop until Hughes pulled it straight to Mangan at square leg - what a mess!
M. Hughes c D. Mangan b. R. Arnberger 1 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR:25.00

That is 5 wickets for Arnberger!

2.2   W   Arnberger to MacLeod : Huge lbw appeal by Arnberger... and up goes the finger! MacLeod is shaking his head in disagreement, but the umpire continues to give him the finger and insists he take a walk.
G. MacLeod lbw b. R. Arnberger 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

Justin Bieber

What a spell he had including that Hattrick!!!! :o.

Smashed Hilly. Fatigue is killed for some of my players as was sent to bat first :'(. Silva made 165 including an Ordinary Batting Spinner making 82 n.o :o. Bowlers did alright although took forever to bowl Hilly's team out ::).
