Fantastic work PB!
Looking good there HP. That crowd will be some nice cash.

Justin Bieber

Worked it out to be around 47k (considering I had 460k before and now 507k). Some handy cash for sticking around and having an away match ;D.

Congrats! :)
Hope I can make a Pav Cup run next season.

Thanka MaccaD.

Make sure you have a slightly larger squad as I'm finding it hard with 13 Seniors and 14 Youths (Half of which don't play Seniors unless I'm desperate). Fatigue is a bugger if you try to go a few rounds in so the best advice I can give as I usually get knocked out in Round 3 :P.

End of over 12 (3 runs) - The Purple Cobras(44-2). 204 runs required from 38 overs. RR 3.67 RRR 5.37
M. Sincock 5 (11b) , G. Kowalick 24 (39b) , P. Tilyard 1-0-3-0

Tiyard and Moser doing a fair job right now. Hopefully can grab another 2-3 wickets before the break.

EDIT:
12.4 W Moser to Kowalick : Moser's castled him!!! What a peach of a delivery. That's the sort of dismissal you cherish as a bowler. Good length and the ball seams in after pitching, leaving Kowalick for dead and the ball takes out middle stump. Well bowled son!
G. Kowalick b. B. Moser 24 (43b 1x4 1x6) SR:55.81

:D.

Don't worry, I didn't either for my first few :P. Then I was stoked to make it to round 2 another year ;D. Baby steps for me ;). But all you guys will have BEAST teams in the future :-[.

End of over 15 (1 run) - The Purple Cobras(53-3). 195 runs required from 35 overs. RR 3.53 RRR 5.57

Well I'll keep my youths that enter the senior squad. They can play in league games.
I am hoping to have a real focus on leagues next season as I will be in a new country..
So maybe a pav cup run won't eventuate  :(

Fantastic work PB!
Thankyou all, nothing sweeter than a win off the last ball. Except there is a problem, i actually didn't wan to beat you Nails, i wanted you to beat me like 30 times straight, then eventually i come through in season 20 and beat you. ;D ;D

A couple of things i picked up in the game:

I played 50 overs of seam, Nails 20 seam, 30 spin. Pitch conditions were Overcast/Uneven, clearly favouring seam.
Nails has a really long tail, much longer than mine.
Bowling Oldfield for 7 straight at the death is awesome. I recomend to do that with all OBB's. It's not the first time he's played well bowling at the death.
My new recruit is a gun!

I like bowling Warne for 7 overs at the start with NBB as well.
Works nicely even though he is an average player.

I wasn't going to update until the break but this happened:

23.1 W Flanagan to Kelly : [catch] That's very full from Flanagan, it's just about waist height and Kelly has absolutely creamed that down to deep extra cover where he picks out Morgan. The umpires are checking with each other here, there seems to be some confusion, and it seems it is NOT a no ball. Kelly is on his way, and he is fuming with that decision.
D. Kelly c D. Morgan b. J. Flanagan 5 (10b 1x4 0x6) SR:50.00
23.2 W Flanagan to Dollery : [catch] Short of a good length delivery on the stumps, Dollery makes room and takes a swing. The ball clips the top edge and balloons up to mid-on.
T. Dollery c D. Morgan b. J. Flanagan 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
23.6 W Flanagan to Anderson : [catch] Bouncer, and hooked straight to the man in the deep! Out!
J. Anderson c A. Habib b. J. Flanagan 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

Flanagan :o :o :o.

End of over 24 (4 runs) - The Purple Cobras(81-8). 167 runs required from 26 overs. RR 3.38 RRR 6.42
C. Hewawasam 15 (37b) , L. Chifunyise 0 (0b) , J. Flanagan 7-2-24-4

If I lose from here, more than a whip will be coming out >:(.

24.1   W   Sreedhar to Chifunyise : Quicker delivery that pitches and turns sharply. Chifunyise pushes forward to defend but fails to make contact and the ball hits the pad right in front of the stumps. He was beaten by the extra pace and the sharp turn there.

Peden being dropped twice in two overs by one player cost me :(

Great win PB :) Peden is only the 3rd player to go onto a ton between us. :o I thought with 8 matches played there'd be more than 3 tons...

Now that I've sold Mamta/Betts (in an hour) - you might even go back to back ;)

24.6 W Sreedhar to Weir : [catch] Weir has gone for a massive swipe, but has only managed to toe the ball in the air straight to Silva at mid-on.

Suprised he rated so low but I'll take the win and move onto the next round. He usually rated 175-180k, guess he decided to rest :D.

Yep, thanks Nails, i was actually quite shocked with the result, at the drinks break during my cricket game i checked my phone and saw i had won, couldn't believe it :o

I'm selling Wallce too, he ends in 2 hours. Didn't play him today though as i wanted him to end on a high :) (the 211* he scored on Friday)

Wow, only three tons. So that makes the record 7-1 i guess??

And how about bowling figures?? Oldfield today would have to be right up there??

Maca24

Go all the way HP!  8)
