8-6 Suited

A crowd of 8,502 has arrived at The Centre of Excellence today for the Twenty20 match between Tickle My Timber and Tractor boys.

It should be an interesting time off the pitch too today between Drunken Farmers and Wooden Wonders!, the respective official fan clubs.

Shahzad has called tails correctly and has decided to bat. Tractor boys will start their innings shortly.

The weather for the match is expected to be Hot and the groundsmen have prepared a Green pitch. Conditions look like they will produce an even contest between bat and ball.

I should cruise through this match up, but only time will tell.

Crap I could be in for a bit of trouble here. Accidentally forgot to change Roger's spell so he is opening the bowling. I had replaced my Fasty for him. :x

Seems he has got through his first over though which is lucky enough for me.

    End of over 1 (4 runs) - Tractor boys(4-0) RR 4.00
J. Thornton 1 (2b) , A. Shahzad 3 (4b) , S. Rogers 1-0-4-0

Bazinga

Good luck CF (and ML   :P)

A crowd of 10,590 has arrived at South Australian Scotsman CG today for the Twenty20 match between South Australian Scotsman and Bazinga.

Justice League of America are here in some numbers and are already belting out some witty tunes sure to get under the skin of the home crowd.

Cartwright has called tails and lost the toss. Sarita ponders for a moment before deciding to bat first. South Australian Scotsmen will start their innings shortly.

The weather for the match is expected to be Hot and the groundsmen have prepared a Slow pitch. Conditions look like they will produce an even contest between bat and ball.

An away crowd of 10,590 gives me great gate takings of over $26k   :)

A win would drag me off the bottom of the league table   :-[

0.4WVogt to Holmes : Great delivery from Vogt. That has cut Holmes in half like a chainsaw and taken the top of his off stump. Timber!
J. Holmes b. H. Vogt 1 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR:25.00
Oh that's a beautiful start for my new guy  ;D

I have a pretty terrible team, as only signed up on Sunday. Here is the list of my seniors:

Gordon MacGill (C) - 29 - 18,450
Julian Murray - 20 - 19,945
Alan Gregory - 22 - 24,459
Sydney Norquay - 26 - 23,842
Thomas Wilson - 23 - 14,478
Athol Dudley - 26 - 10 - 24,508
Russell Mailey - 29 - 22,933
Thomas Bartlett - 23 - 21,488
John Patterson - 24 - 17,607
Raymond Johnston - 23 - 20,245
Leonard Bradley - 29 - 17,866
Heath Ireland - 29 - 24,596
Darren Horne - 23 - 17,701
Keith Moore - 29 - 26,968

Pretty average. I'm sitting bottom of my One Day league 6.26 , Second bottom in my T20 league 6.20 , and top of my Youth team in league 7.10

My plan is to mould my players into superstars without selling/firing many of them. Am i doing this correctly?

I am also in the running for two players:

Jonathon Ward - Age: 20 - Accomplished bowler - Rating: 31'925
Christiaan Winkels - Age: 27 - Outstanding batsman - Rating: 42'811

Are these players good picks? I'll be paying a combined ~$75000 for both of them.

Peter 'Smokes' Jackson and Adams will need to step up in crumling/hot conditions today.

Early wickets   8)

1.3 W McKenzie to Ayres : Ayres was drawn into a poor shot by an excellent piece of bowling by McKenzie. A simple catch for Mooljee and Ayres's innings comes to an end.

It's hard to mould them into Superstars as many of the start up players are quite bad. You must buy to make your team better, but don't be money happy, throwing it everywhere :P. I'd go after some Cap/Cap 5k (max) just to keep you going for the time being before building further next season after prize money 8).

Smashing Benjy in T20 although I have very little chance of staying up (2 games behind so basically relegated).
