Nails, you have taken over what is known as a 'bot' team. Everyone who starts out on FTP is given control of a computer controlled team which is already in the system, therefore you inherit their status. Only difference is that you get given crappy players when your team is activated.  You never get given a completely newly created team.

Nails, don't sell your players. Wait till you buy a few good seniors and then just fire the bad ones.
