Really thinking of selling my oldies and buying gun 20-21yr olds with the cash. Could pocket 1-1.2 mil from my sales. :)

Stay away from my gun 20yr olds Barlow  :P

+1 :P

41.1   W   Shabi to Currie : Shabi strikes! And a collective groan from the crowd as Currie departs. It was nothing more than a straight ball on a length. Currie tried to glide it to third man, but it was far too close and crashed into his pads to trap him in front.
D. Currie lbw b. B. Shabi 92 (66b 10x4 1x6) SR:139.39

41.6   W   Shabi to Collins : A bit of an argument in the commentary box about whether that was the slider or the zooter, but it's all academic as it hit Collins on the back leg below the knee-roll.
A. Collins lbw b. B. Shabi 5 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR:125.00

43.6   W   Shabi to Shagmeister : [stumped] Shagmeister charges down the pitch to a well flighted delivery only to find himself in the stickiest situation since Sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun. Smart stumping sir!
W. Shagmeister st A. Rabadiya b. B. Shabi 180 (108b 15x4 3x6) SR:166.67

44.5   W   Srinath to Vint : [catch] Fuller length delivery outside the off stump. Vint drives away from his body with no real foot-work. It looked like the bat hit the ground - hard to say if there was an edge involved.
G. Vint c A. Rabadiya b. S. Srinath 13 (9b 0x4 0x6) SR:144.44

-_- o.O

Oh well...

End of over 50 (5 runs) - Feeling Sheepish(444-7) RR 8.88
S. Junior 21 (14b) , P. Jackson 41 (19b) , B. Shabi 10-0-87-3

0.6   W   Vint to Vaithu : [catch] A wild slog induces a top edge that swirls in the air before being pouched by Collins
A. Vaithu c A. Collins b. G. Vint 1 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR:20.00

End of over 1 (2 runs) - Jaipur(2-1). 443 runs required from 49 overs. RR 2.00 RRR 9.04
B. Upendra 1 (1b) , N. Neel 0 (0b) , G. Vint 1-0-2-1

I'd like a 400 run win :P

Bazinga

It's nice when you have over 400 runs before the red curse strikes  :P

Yep, they got a bit too confident. But Jackson and Junior backing it up were good.

3.1   W   Sodumo to Neel : Fuller in length and wide outside the off stump, Neel goes for an expansive drive and the ball goes straight to Shagmeister at backward point. The bat turned at the point of impact and the ball went high up towards the fielder who timed his jump perfectly.
N. Neel c W. Shagmeister b. A. Sodumo 3 (8b 0x4 0x6) SR:37.50

5.2   W   Sodumo to Niramitra : Gone!! Niramitra flashes hard at a rising ball outside off stump, only to get a top edge that sails high down to third man, where it is pouched comfortably by Junior.
M. Niramitra c S. Junior b. A. Sodumo 0 (3b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

6.2   W   Vint to Upendra : [runout] Well, now we know why Upendra is never sent out as a runner!
B. Upendra run out (A. Sodumo) 11 (16b 1x4 0x6) SR:68.75

Haha. 3 wickets, a runout. He is having a good time.
5.6   W   Sodumo to Dankhara : [catch] Dankhara pays the ultimate price for driving away from his body. A simple edge and a regulation catch for Vint at second slip.
A. Dankhara c G. Vint b. A. Sodumo 2 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR:50.00

My mistake. Must have gone past this one...He has 4 wickets and a runout.
7.2   W   Sodumo to Visweswaramurthy : Gone! Sharp bouncer from Sodumo and it nicks the glove on the way through, Collins makes no mistake and the umpire raises a pudgy finger. Shabi consoles Visweswaramurthy. A near unplayable delivery.
D. Visweswaramurthy c A. Collins b. A. Sodumo 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

That is 5 wickets for Sodumo!

He is ripping them to shreds...I like it.
7.5   W   Sodumo to Shabi : The straight yorker did the job and the timber goes flying.
B. Shabi b. A. Sodumo 2 (6b 0x4 0x6) SR:33.33

Gotta love it!

End of over 11 (maiden) - Jaipur(31-9). 414 runs required from 39 overs. RR 2.82 RRR 10.62
S. Srinath 0 (3b) , K. Shadilya 5 (12b) , S. Junior 1-1-0-1

Been quite entertaining, will be interesting to see who gets votes...Should be over soon ::)

Alex7089

11.4   W   Jackson to Srinath : Missing off, missing leg, plumb as they get.
S. Srinath lbw b. P. Jackson 0 (6b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

End of over 12 (1 run) - Jaipur(32-10). 413 runs required from 38 overs. RR 2.67 RRR 10.87

3. Willow Shagmeister - 180 from 108 and a catch
2. Abongile Sodumo - 6/17 and a runout
1. Drew Currie - 92 from 66 and a catch.

Notable mentions: Jackson (41* and 1/1), Junior (21* and 1/0 and a maiden) and Greg O'Meagher who managed 48 opening...Brave effort.

So, I'm through to the second round, comfortable win and hopefully my boys can have a good crack again next week. Oh and BTW, Shagmeister is third in the batting for his 180 (Athans 4th o.O) and the only 2 above him are over age and as such will be DQ'd. Sodumo is first in bowling as well.

Seven wicket win over Daz. It was a lot like my game the night before. Wall and Reid controlled the tempo of the chase, Reid made 84, lost a couple of quick wickets then Jay Singh joined Wall and smashed 33 from 17. Wall finished unbeaten on 126. Bowling wise, BOOOOOOOOOOB took 3, Strydom took 4, Tait and Howlett got belted though

I started okay my middle order has just collapsed and i've got 1 genuine batter left my 2 all rounders still to bat but the run rate is over 7 on a green pitch

End of over 42 (11 runs) - Cicjose(332-5) RR 7.90

C. Campbell 68 (44b) , S. Barbour 65 (45b) , A. Kerr 6-0-63-1

41.6   1   Kerr to Barbour : Tidy line and length and Barbour pushes it into the covers.

41.5   2   Kerr to Barbour : With practiced ease, Barbour steers the gentle medium pace of Kerr down to fine leg for a jogged two. Standard stuff.

41.4   2   Kerr to Barbour : Beautiful technique there as Barbour just strokes it through the off side for 2.

41.3   2   Kerr to Barbour : Kerr offers up a gentle half volley and Barbour drives crisply to the right of Larson in the covers. The slow outfield allows Larson to catch the ball before it reaches the ropes and his good arm deters the batsmen from trying a third.

41.2   2   Kerr to Barbour : Close! Edged wide of the keeper and the batsmen run 2.

41.1   2   Kerr to Barbour : A well timed push through the covers adds another two runs to the total. Barbour just leant on that ball, lovely timing.

Beautiful batting from the finisher
