Good over before drinks, hopefully they can keep it up after :)

Alex7089

Actually kinda disappointed with the batting effort. Willow and Drew are my 2 best so hopefully they step up.

23.5   W   Watson to Shagmeister : Good length delivery pitched on the off stump and going straight on. Shagmeister looks to work through the on side, misses the line and it strikes him on the pad in line with the stumps.
W. Shagmeister lbw b. P. Watson 96 (66b 10x4 1x6) SR:145.45

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
first of all he missed his ton.
Second of all I have 4 specialist bats out on a flat/sunny Vs a newbie -_-

What is happening?

Maca24

Played Baz today.
After a shaky start with Hatton making a Royal Duck and French going out cheaply, Samuel and Astle put on a fantastic 352 run partnership at a run a ball to carry me to 4/438. Astle with 211 n.o off 143 balls.
Bowled Baz for 189. Downton got 4/28 which was good.

Thanks for the game Baz, some of your young guys are insane!  :o

27.5   W   Hunter to Davis : [stumped] A poor delivery from Hunter but even poorer footwork by Davis. Quick as a flash Campbell has whipped off the bails and he's out. The fielding side chuckle like mischievous schoolboys as Davis trudges back to the pavilion.
F. Davis st A. Campbell b. R. Hunter 84 (85b 8x4 0x6) SR:98.82

Oh noes!! Oh well good batting effort for a guy who doesn't usually get a game anymore...

End of over 29 (7 runs) - The Matchbox Matadors(193-3) RR 6.66
R. Donfeld 80 (77b) , K. Argal 7 (5b) , N. Harper 7-0-48-0

Alex7089

I told you CF :) KEEP THE FAITH :D

End of over 30 (5 runs) - Feeling Sheepish(254-5) RR 8.47
G. Vint 6 (9b) , A. Collins 20 (15b) , P. Watson 10-0-81-2

However I think I have a right to give up :P

CrowsFan

Why would you give up Alex?? You have a great run rate going, just need to get a good partnership going between these two. I'm sure Vint will repay the love that you have in him and remain not out at the end of 50 overs ;)

Alex7089

28.2   W   Rosen to Currie : Rosen pitches it outside off and gets some turn, Currie gets across too hastily and ends up edging to Mallett at first slip.
D. Currie c J. Mallett b. A. Rosen 27 (27b 1x4 0x6) SR:100.00

FFS.

Thanks for the faith CF :) Hopefully, Vint is a good player. I think COllins is the key though :)

^^ My old player :)

:\ Not reassuring. :P

ARRRGGGGHHHH
30.5   W   Harper to Argal : Ouch! A great inswinging yorker crashes into Argal's back foot. They all go up in a huge appeal and finally the umpire's finger goes up. Interestingly, not only does the replay show that was going well down leg side, it also shows Argal had limped nearly a whole leg bye before the finger went up. Insult to injury...
K. Argal lbw b. N. Harper 25 (15b 4x4 0x6) SR:166.67

Keeper Argal comes in, goes crazy then goes out :(
In comes Colwin Sargeant an ord/avg 17 y.o prodigy who has never played a game for me. Let's see what he can do ;)

Alex7089

I have a feeling that Sargeant will guide the troops home.

End of over 33 (2 runs) - Feeling Sheepish(265-5) RR 8.03
G. Vint 12 (21b) , A. Collins 25 (21b) , D. Connolly 7-0-53-0

Having to rely on these two makes me nervous :|
But they are still in.

Unfortunately not :(
31.6   W   Hunter to Sargeant : [catch] Tossed up on the stumps and Sargeant slogs across the line. The ball clips the leading edge and balloons up towards mid-off.
C. Sargeant c C. Mangan b. R. Hunter 3 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR:60.00

In to the all rounders now... He is a finisher though so that will help :)

Alex7089

Well then maybe your AR is the man. I feel someone is the man. Is there still one of the guys from the big partnership in? If so he is the man :P

Alex7089

End of over 34 (10 runs) - Feeling Sheepish(275-5) RR 8.09
A. Collins 29 (25b) , G. Vint 16 (24b) , A. Rosen 7-0-58-1

Second biggest partnership of the innings. The biggest won't be beaten it was Willow and Devila.
