its more than that in the long run. not exactly sure what it is but academy level increases or decrease time taken for a pop. you need test it as you train the levels up
yea it increases each player by 3pts according to the research in the spare ratings thread.
Hardly worthwhile  :(

cookie311993

its more than that maca. you test two players with capable/capable primary in different academies. One will reach expert/expert while other is halfway between rel/rel and acc/acc

how come nobody has any evidence yet as Id love to know the differences.
FTP is frfustrating because theres so many hidden factors.

Ok guys, just been reading through your conversation re academies investment and the effect it has on players at different academy levels, so I thought I'd do a bit of research from the spare ratings thread. Here is my first spare ratings post where I have listed players training gains.

Updated after senior training 31/3/11.
The two main things to compare here are the fitness and strength training, as these are mainly constant for seniors regardless of age ( especially fintess ). Primaries training decreases as a player gets older.  I have invested approx 50k per week and had two senior academy pops in this time.

Fitness trained to a 285 point gain on Jan 14, while it gained by 315 on March 31. This is roughly a 10% gain. If you average this out over an 8 - 10 year period, it is quite a large amount ( between 3k and 5k ). Strength training on Jan 14 was +280, compared to +298 on March 31st. This is a slightly less increase than fitness but still very handy.

So, IMO, these figures show that over time as your academies increase with continued investment that it is definitely worth investing heavily into your academies in the long run, especially if you want to train up project players for the future.

Good work Bazinga. But IMO all that money going into academies could be better spent on buying guns.

cookie311993

yeah thats the same for all training bazinga. its highly worthwhile that way. Same with youths hello doesnt buy players just has good academy and therefore top FF in youths

Bazinga

I guess it depends on what you want to get out of the game. I will certainly enjoy buying some 20yr olds, renaming them ( Sheldon Cooper  ;D ) and training them up to be stars. Of course this means my team wont be good in the short term, but with my improving academies I can train these guys to be stars and have a lot of satisfaction doing it. Others might wish to forget about their academies and just buy older guns.

cookie311993

i dont mind training younger players up cause they get better if bought younger

C. Strydom 36 (32b) , A. Shehzad 56 (48b) , A. Burchett 8-0-67-0

Only 4 starters actually playing today. Shehzad is one of them and as he should he's anchoring the innings. Strydom providing good support as well
