Why?

just wondering why you go for your footy team? and "coz there awesome" isnt a reason like is it where you were born or your dad played for them?
i dont know why  i go for collignwood thats why im interested

used to go for the dogs back when i was 3 or 4. when  i got to primary school i started going for essendon when i actually got into the footy.

don't know why but i will always have a soft spot for the bulldogs too :D

only went for the dogs because they were the dogs :P. always liked rohan smith though. was my favourite player even when i changed to essendon. now Boyd is my favourite player ;D

Before we had an AFL team in the then VFL comp, I followed East Fremantle in the WAFL.  When the Eagles came along in '88 (I think - please correct me if I am wrong) I started going for them, but I still loved my Sharks.  Then the whole second team from WA bid came along and since '95 I have been a one-eyed Freo supporter.

First game my mum took me to aged 4 Ess vs Pies at windy hill. Pies lost but my mum barracks for them. I have loved the pies every since :)

She now lives in NSW and doesn't follow AFL anymore unfortunately. But she did give me all her old memorabilia. Very nice collection of old school Pies stuff :)

Went to my First game with my Dad in SANFL & it was the Port (Magpies) vs West Torrens (Eagles).

Dad being a passionate Eagle supporter said watch these birds ruffle the Magpies feathers & give them a flogging.

I went for the Magpies & they gave the Eagles a flogging & when we arrived home from all the non stop banter handed out I also got a flogging.

Still a Power supporter even tho living in Qld.

Morale of the story:- "Should have kept my  :-X sealed"

Dad went for Pies, and remember watching the Pies smashing the Bombers in the 90GF as a very young kid.
