If the Hawks want to be serious about challenging for a premiership this year they need another ruckman to help out Renouf as well as bulking up their backline who looked shaky against an ordinary Geelong forward line. If the backline is as shaky this week then the bullies will run riot.

They never use their first pick for a ruckman. i would expect them to draft a guy half way through and treat him as a project player.

I would rather see them trade for a good ruckman like collingwood did with jolly.

That is only a good resource for a few years, where if you had a rookie you could groom him even as 2nd ruck as nothing wrong is renouf.

Why couldn't Buddy or Roughy be sent into ruck to help out ?

Can't question Renouf's effort though, was at the game on the weekend and saw him dislocate his finger on the wing, got it popped back, then presented and took a mark in the opposite back pocket a minute later.

Anyone know how Grimley and Lowden are progressing? One of those guys should be tried out sometime during the year. We cant afford to have players like Hodgey going up for ruck, we need him at the fall of the ball
