What are you thoughts on the trade for tippet?

I know everyone is all over him at the moment but i think going for Dangerfield would be a good option. Saves a bit of cash too.

Tippet has been very disappointing. I too have been very tempted to trade him out, but i think im gonna stick it out for a while. Not because i think he will increase his average massively after his poor start, but i reckon at some point he can string a few games together and hopefully increase his value back to where it is now .

Currently i dont have the funds to upgrade him, nor is there anyone interesting that i want to downgrade him to. If i do trade him to someone, i want it to be a rookie so im getting max cash and a potential cash cow, or trade him to a premium where i shouldn't have to trade him again. There is no point trading him to mid-pricer, because you are not freeing up enough cash for upgrades, and you will have to make another trade to upgrade the mid-pricer to a premium.

My advice with tippet is, if you can upgrade him to a brown or similar than you can consider. Otherwise you should stick with him for a while, as painful as it sounds

Both Hall and Tippet = VERY DISSAPONTING!! with the Dogs good win, thought Hall would have gotten bigger score....Where as both Ballantyne and Brennan have been very impressive....

i burn two trades, so be it......least i dont lose money on tippet, while Ballantyne and Brennan both increase

Tippett is playing as a key forward in a team that has been soundly beaten both weeks; that is a surefire way to kill, or at least minimise any key forward points. And also when he has been in the ruck (which I assume is only fleetingly) he has been against decent rucks in Seaby and Sandilands... and keep in mind that Adelaide is playing Melbourne next week.

Gerco - that is true, but Jamar is craving it up at the moment so I can't see Tippett getting his points in the ruck.

However I think people are stupid to trade Tippett out now. Brown and Brennan as well as they are playing are playing Port this week. Port is 5th in giving away the least amount of 100's, they dont have a good history against Port and Tippett is playing Melb - he avgs 82 against melbourne and had 100 against them in the NAB cup.

But you do what you want.

if you got tippett don't trade him out just yet. he is a rollercoaster. would you trade buddy out after 2 horrible weeks? tippett is like buddy in the way they are kind of streak players. once they get going, its hard to stop them.

tippett hasn't hit his stride yet, and you will be spewing when he does. your forward line looks fine with him cass. just hope him and hall can fire more often and not and score big for you when they do.

@ben0 - tippett shouldn't be a cash cow. he should of been brought in as a keeper for 300k your paying for him. doesn't matter if they gain or lose cash.
if you really don't like them, i would suggest trading only one if you have to (to bally). brennan has shown inconsistency past years and can be shut down if he actually gets a tag. maybe make him an upgrade target instead of a now target?

Mate..you have a good forward line. Keep Tippett. he'll come good. The swans played him very well. He got to many contests he just was worried out of them.
