It's more I think about the young Bombers team and Knights tactical inexperience.
Look at Geelong and the way the structure sets to provide GAJ with blocks and open the lines for him. GAJ is almost untaggable when Cats structure is right, many try but rarely succeed.
This comes from a core of men, understanding and autonomously knowing what their team is doing around them.
It will come for Essendon and for Stanton as their core develops.

yeh compare that to how the eagles used to block for judd and cousins, guys like rohan jones were in the team just to make space for the key ball users, whenever he got the ball i would cringe but he was integral to that west coast team and a reason why we won a flag
think carlton (and stanton) need to do the same thing atm, some players at the end of their careers need to sarcifice their games in order to protect those stars eg. mclean and mcviegh respectively

He didn't look right to me at all last Friday night against the Hawks. It will be interesting what a week worth of rest will do for him with no pressure to try and get up for this weekends game. I would think he will bounce back strongly if he get's his body right.
