i don't mind the idea but it is one of the holiest days in the christian/catholic calendar. i'm borderline right now.

Also blokes playing in one of the two teams might not want to play.

Why not have it on Good Friday? Football is on other public holidays.

If we went by religious reasons, we wouldn't be playing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at all! All three of those days are 'sacred' depending on what religion you follow.

I agree with valk. Good friday is the most boring day of the year. I don't know why but no-one seems to want to do anything today :(

I like the fact that nobody wants to do anything, makes it a very relaxing occasion from a stressful work/school life.

Would be even better if there was a football match to watch whilst being lazy.

I am not religious but I can see from other people's point of view as to why they would not want it.
