WTF is the AFL thinking

I was just watching sunrise this morning and the did a segmant on the shape of the ball. The said that in 2013 they were changing to a round ball. WTF, are they trying to destroy the game. Anyone know anything more about this?

but why did they come up with a round ball? not that good of a joke unless they brought in more of a gaelic type theme around it. even then, nobody under 40 watches sunrise ;D

I'm under 20. Mostly I mock it while watching it though.. on the hour and half past is the best.
