What is strtegy for early trades? hold on to them or use some early to buy booms and get rid of busts? Say for instance if you traded masten for shuey and the upgraded hunt to Shaw?

elephants

now that would be a good couple of trades if you are prepared to part with them its up to you.

Why would you trade at least before round 3?

has there been any LTI's?

gerco

That is a very decent trade option; just got to weigh up if burning 2 trades on   2 games worth of information is justified.

The theory being that the boomers have done enough to suggest they will be great cash cows and some maybe even keepers (Barlow) And by trading mid priced players for low priced boomers you free up room for an extra premium.

nas

in saying that why do it this week?

good trade option but no price rise until rd 3.

Just saving a trade / trades for the future.

You would trade next week if those trends continued.... but i'm just throwing it out there to make sure it isn't a totally stupid idea. I'm hoping not to have any other trades till round 5. I hav enough cover on my bench.

i might have to burn 1 or 2 trades next week which i don't mind. have done it last year and it helped alot. i kind of correct a mistake i made with selections. doubt i would need to use 2 since i did pull a good score for me.

i will not touch my 300k+ players as i am keeping the faith they will come good 8)

My position is to only use trades at this early stage of the season to keep 22 players on the field. You will need those trades later when injuries hit you. If you get an LTI in the second half of the season you may need 2 trades to trade up.

If after this week 1 of your mid prices isn't performing and a cheaper player is killing it I would go for that trade

bunyip

Hmmmmmmm, My position may not be hard and fast ;D

I've got Hargraves on my team. I bet a lot of guys  are considering dumping him if he doesn't perform next week. I think I'll keep him and hope he hits a bit of form. I wasted a lot of trades early last year and I'm not going to fall for that trap again ;)

Thats just getting rid of a big score for another big score from someone else.
