Burning early trades?

What do people think about burning a few early trades after R1 and 2 as prices have not changed yet. Mainly for rookies - jumping off who you thought would do well onto who did do well???

Although I think burning 4 trades is way too many, 1 or 2 can be very useful if you missed the early train on a rookie who performs really well.

No, no point in trading in a rookie for another rookie when neither have moved, either way you will end up trading the guy out for money, making an extra 50k is not worth wasting that trade in my book.

i think i burned 1 or 2 trades last year after round 2. just to fine tune my team for the coming weeks.

might do 1 or 2 trades again depending on how my team fairs and if the rookies play or not.

Master Q

Maybe 1 or 2, because I'm trying to be in the eliminator.

shouldn't that be easy for you though? top 100k isn't it?

Good to see i'm not the only one who will burn a couple to make some minor adjustments.

Probably gonna be Nason and Roberts for me depending if the continue to be selected or not - will wait till R3 teams named.

mine will likely be in the mids. got 3 rookies on field and 2 on bench. need the guys to gain cash fast to get another 3 premiums in there by round 8 hopefully.

Round 8! Thats some fast cash!

i know. hoping a few premiums have a couple of bad weeks or i will have to put off the upgrades until round 10 or 11.

Did this last year to pick up Sam Gilbert and would definitely do it again this year if the right trade comes up, or is needed. Not so sure about trading rookies after just 1 or 2 games though.

Any player in any position who starts poorly will be fist in for me, trying to get as may as I can who have bottomed out.

Good strategy! ROK perfect example last year and those who got him in were laughing in the second half of the season!

Also shows not to jump off your premiums due to a few poor performances - which many rookie coaches do (inc. me in the past).
