Another year, another attempt for you to show if you know what's going to happen.

No rules, make your own tiers for a ladder etc. Got any other predictions that are WXV related, here is the place to put them :)

Top 7 in no particular order should be fairly straight forward

Seoul, BA, Rome, NDT, Mexico, Cape Town, Toronto

8th to 14th are all very similar and I'll predict no more than 8 points (2 wins) is the gap between 8th and 13th

I'll say London or Berlin get a big scalp this year - one/both of them will knock off a Tier 1 team in big upset

NY won't be pushing, but I believe we can finish higher than everyone else thinks (8th to 12th)

Contenders:
Buenos Aires Armadillos
Rome Gladiators
Seoul Magpies
Mexico City Suns
New Delhi Tigers
These are the top 5 for me, and where the premier will come from. Mexico would be my pick if Newman was fit and I knew BJW was playing enough ruck time to average like 75-80. But failing those two things I think Rome and BA are the top two, who need many things to go wrong. Seoul need to make sure Gawn doesn't miss the wrong game(s) and there's some injury prone players in that midfield. NDT will compete again, if Dawson has a bounceback watch out!

They're all very good and I'm just splitting hairs to try and rank them amongst each other.

Hopefuls:
Cape Town Cobras
Toronto Wolves

I have these two just a touch below. Toronto's backline worries me and I don't know if Cape Town have a reliable enough captain along with a shallow midfield. Toronto also have a question mark over their coach, he has afk potential.

Pretenders:
Dublin Destroyers
Rio De Janeiro Jaguars
Cairo Sands
Pacific Islanders
Christchurch Saints
I have these 5 battling for 8th, although there's spike potential amongst each of them to sneak into a home Elim final. Xerri continues going 120-125 and improvement from guys like Callaghan, Hollands, Hewett and Dublin look well rounded. TDK and/or NWM turn into top captain choices and Rio are pushing the 8. Cairo get a lucky break in that midfield with Setters/X/Prestia and they're on. Pacific's forwards play and Bont will carry. Church rely a lot on Darcy and Treloar.

But ultimately I think too much needs to go right for these teams to consider them in the higher bracket. I'll pick Dublin for 8th.

No-mans land
Tokyo Samurai
New York Revolution
These two have the upside to finish above teams in the previous bracket, but I just don't see it happening. Tokyo look to have players with more upside with guys like Ashcroft and Thilthorpe showing they can become great SC assets, and they finally have a reliable ruck! Keep Dunks and Libba fit and they could surprise. NY have no captain, barely have a ruckline and just a bunch of solid but meh players. Probably relying on another step up from say Caldwell, Massimo and Powell to be close to the 8? Not convinced. But they definitely have a playing XV every week which is more than I can say about the next bracket.

Gimme #1
PNL Reindeers
Berlin Brewers
London Royals
Beijing Pandas
The hardest part here is working out who is worse. I do have PNL as the best of this lot mainly thanks to Zerrett. They know 2025 isn't their year though and have a nice draft hand. Berlin's midfield future excites me, Jagga, Harvey and Josh wowee. In 2025 it won't be much, but if they turn it on in the same week they'll beat most teams. London worry me the most here. English is the sole hope when it comes to getting wins on the board in 2025, whilst they only have their own 1st for the draft. The fwds won't provide much, Kiddy can't stay fit, it's worrying. Jing can get excited if Farrell becomes a backline premo but otherwise they are my favourites for #1.

Premiers: Rome Gladiators (finally)
Positive surprise: Tokyo Samurai
Spoon: Beijing Pandas
