So Sunday teams out and Leake and Stone both made it. They are vest candidates but happy to keep both for now. Can always correct for rookies in next couple rounds.

I know Boxshall isn't named but he will change to either Knevitt or Reid, whoever doesn't get the vest. Also thinking of changing Brayshaw in flex to Callaghan. That score was too hard to ignore and if I took Reid that's 4 dockers in my mids. While Serong and Brayshaw are guns have to keep in mind future byes etc.

If it's Callaghan and take Knevitt I'll have 300k in the bank. Or could swing Kako to mids and grab Sanders in FWD, leaving me 119k still?

Bully

It's a guessing game with the vest, now Hall is named on field, will have to keep close tabs. Sanders could be a really astute pick this year, if you have the dollars put it in the field.

Yeah I do have the dollars and Bont is listed as 5-6 weeks. So could get a bit out of him. Boxshall out and in comes Knevitt if he's not the sub and Kako/Stone becomes Sanders. Still leaves me with around 100k

Well I should agree I have Sanders, and I also have Callaghan. And now I have kako in my mid bench due to the potential for rotating st kilda rooks although I think hall is the safest he is a small pressure fwd so...

I really like Reid but not sure on JS.

I guess it will come down to if you need a captain for your loophole this week, but with Tsatas being rubbish I think you need to turn Boxshall into the BPA. That way you can cut your losses with Tsatas if you need to

Don't think I've ever cried so much in supercoach. Just everything was horrible. Forgot to swap my C to Xerri and left it on Neale. He got tagged to Oblivion. Speaking of ... looks like taggers are back so going to be tough to navigate ...

Happy to stick with Neale. Not too thrilled with Perryman output so think he goes. Bring in De Koning. Looks like they'll stick with that setup at Geelong. SPP will go for a rookie but not sure who yet? Very dissappointed in Sanders. So he may go after next week. Tsatas I think has to go for that price. Ashcroft or Lindsay comes in there. Leake can sit on the bench until see how rookies go next week. Truly horrible start

Colliwobblers

I feel your pain.

Perhaps the 2nd even 3rd best midfielder in each side is a smarter pick this season, teams that don't tag now are tanking. Alternatively, the Callaghan type set for a breakout to make the coin then easy upgrade to the premiums mid-season we can see handle the tag better than Neale. In his defense Day didn't fare any better.

Given my high number of mid pricers I will try to resist the sideways rookie trading, only get rid of the ones dropped or the absolute worst. Reckon tsatas and SPP will bounce back but its a lot of money if they don't, probably Hall this week because SPP was so bad then see in another week.

Perryman is the obvious and most popular trade to SDK, but I'm taking my own advice getting another mid priced mid for POD for Neale ang getting SDK in defense to eliminate another on field rook. Might need to cut garcia to hall to afford it haven't done the numbers yet.

All is not lost just need the 60,000 odd people in front of us to have stinkers. Sigh...

Mat0369

Having some cash in the bank is huge for you. Perryman is an immediate worry, another performance like that and he is losing cash.

Neale I think I'm happy to give one more as well, he will cop that initial hit, but if he has another poor game he is easy to sideways trade to just about anyone. If he kills it, that initial price drop is irrelevant.

The defensive rookie situation is an absolute cluster f***. Rookies are volatile, but some of those scores were abysmal. It's week one though, there have been a ton of rookies that have looked good and flopped or looked awful and killed it.

Bowey could be worth a look as well as another option for Perryman. He is one on my list and could be a decent buy and a POD

arbel

One of the bad things with rookies this year is a lot of them seem to be in the forward line but that is also where a lot of the good mid-pricers are like Macrae, Smith, Daniel etc.

So yeah will wait on teams and then make some corrections. But I think at the least Perryman to SDK and SPP to a Kako or Hamling or something

There are some putrid numbers in there. The defenders are even worse than I thought they would be. Mids right now it looks like Ashcroft, NOD, Lalor, Lindsay, Knevitt, Long and Hall. Forwards guys like Read and Rogers are pricy and won't play WC every week (also a bye) so I will list Kako, Warner, Lynch and Hewett as probably the guys to own right now. That will likely change this week when some guys pop up with a big score

arbel

I do the same as you ... have my spreadsheets all set up with prices, BE's etc. Easy to see :)

Yeah I think at this stage it'll be Perryman to SDK. The role is there for him so happy to do that. I could theoretically sit on the rest and wait til next week but contemplating doing SPP to one of Hall/Kako and have enough to do Sanders to Rankine but not 100% on that.

Guess my targets are Ashcroft, Lindsay, Hall, Kako. Something like that. But will wait on team lists today before pulling the trigger

Sanders/Parker to Rankine is the right focus, I'll also be sizing up ways to get that over the line.

arbel

Hmmm, decisions, decisions ... Paton omitted and was slightly worried with vest last week. However I have cover still so not pressing to trade him yet. Bice is obvious choice but has bye following week? Also with no DEF rookie changing price this week I think is best to hold and see who is best to get week after?

I'm thinking:

Perryman to SDK - can pocket cash and think will score similar if not better, perryman bye next week too
SPP to Kako or Warner - Warner price jump but bye next week. So maybe Kako, or swing Hewitt FWD and grab Lashcroft
Sanders to Rankine - wasn't impressed with Sanders, could give another week

Think this is best then allows next week to load/change rookies based on who's best. Possibly Hall/Lindsay will be needed. May also need another correction trade depending on some premos/mid pricers.

What think about those trades?

Colliwobblers

Perryman to SDK or Freija seems inevitable. Was going to wait, SDK will share the ruck role I expect but he's going to make cash fast regardless. I might wait simply to see Freija again. Although he has Treloar and Bont to return. ???

Same with Sanders he has to go up at some point I'll probably hold him for another look.

Of those rook moves Lashcroft or Lindsay (named on the park again) for me

Yeah always a risk with SDK, but Stanley isn't picked so looks like they going to persist with him and if he has another decent game that keeps Stanley out.

Still tossing up Sanders. Could come good but with Bont/Treloar to come back that'll impact his scoring although both not due for min 3 weeks so he might be okay. SPP I think has to go. Port were thumped but he only got that with no Butters too so can get cheaper rookie, probably swing Hewitt FWD and get probably get Lindsay
