Sweet, this will help me decide on some trades this week

Round 4

Score: 2002
Rank: 17,490
Round Rank: 18,478
Cash: $38,500

You cannot view this attachment.

Good: Sheezel, Ryan, Bice, Trainor, Neale, W. Ashcroft, L. Ashcroft, Lalor, Smith, Daniel, SPP
Pass: Zorko, Bowey, Oliver, Macrae
Bad: Roberts, Trac, Xerri, TDK, Davidson
Ugly: NOD, Moraes, Lynch, Warner, Stone, Holmes

It was an interesting week. I felt I scored okay, yet it seemed pretty mediocre when looking at my weekly overall. I think I held the right guys in Lalor, Neale, Ryan and Sheezel.

Trac was a hold with anticipation of him getting forward status, although it ended up being an okay but not spectacular week and a nice drop in price. He may have been one I should have moved on in hindsight.

Lynch I knew would struggle against the Lions but I held him anyway. He ended up turning a disaster into an ugly score, however he was the right play ahead of Warner and Stone who both managed to be worse.

I felt like I have made some poor early trades which is another reason I ended up sticking with those guys this week. I feel like I've just been shifting guys sideways, haven't banked anything and haven't significantly improved my team. A reset is needed with 32 trades, 3 boosts and maybe only 10 genuine keepers (maybe 11 if Trac gets forward status).

Just a recap on my trades so far and where I felt I've gone wrong

Round 2

Perryman > Holmes
Flynn > Trainor
Leake > Warner

I think I traded the right players out here (although Perryman had a good game on the weekend), but I should have gone with Sinclair and O'Sullivan who I tossed up but went chasing the first price rise from Warner.

Round 3

Meek > Xerri
Parker > Bowey
Tsatas > Lindsay

Bowey was a great pick, but Parker looks to have kicked off his cash gen this week. Maybe another option out instead like Trac would have been the better play. Meek to Xerri was a flop, Xerri injured himself last round and struggled this week. Meek had a great week before the bye and may have been better off holding to trade to someone else instead. Tsatas to Lindsay was unfortunate, one injured player for another

Round 4

Paton > Bice
Campo > Moraes

I think both trades were okay. Bice was a must have and paid off, Moraes had a bad week and could be on the fringe so I'm thinking that could have been a 50k price rise and then a sub risk to stall growth. Maybe Hamling was a better long term pick.

This week is a bit of wait and see. Hall looks to be the pick of the rookies but he has shaky JS. Travaglia has DPP which is handy but was sub his debut. Tsatas could be back. There is also Dudley for Freo who is bargain basement as a forward. The unfortunate thing is all the guys I feel need to go are in the forward line which also makes it tricky with a lack of DPP options

Bully

Holding Trac not such a terrible move, 42% forward time so it would seem a formality from here.

Yup, seems like it's pretty much a guarantee. The downside is the lost dollars, but I would back him being a top 6 forward come the end of the season.

Ringo

Trades get tricky as you say with little DPP.  What is your intention with FOS not named ;ast week B/E of 38 so limited cash generation. As a suggestion move Holmes back to mids and then trade into Flex.

Mat0369

If O'Sullivan and Knevitt are out again I'm thinking Hall and Tsatas if both are named. It also looks like Lindsay is a chance this week which is a bonus

Ringo

NOD now throwing  spanner in the works.

"Ryan Daniels (@FootyRhino) on X
Nathan O'Driscoll will miss this week's clash with Richmond.

@freodockers still working through the extent of the ankle injury but is expected to miss multiple weeks."

Do not like the last multiple weeks.

So maybe O'Sullivan to Hall and then NOD to anyone you can afford. Alternately if you have boosts could go Stone to Dudley and if Maths correct you should have $500ktrading NOD.

arbel

This has definitely been an unfavourable year in Supercoach. Feel all rookies have had ups and down with the exception of a couple and 'premos' have had issues. I'd wait on teams before pulling triggers. If Tsatas can get straight back in think he is a good pick. Hall I think should get games, he is a good type. Heard rumours that waterman, ryan and hutchinson could be back so don't know if that means he gets dropped

Hall needs 3 price rises, that's doable I think.

Can't say I'm surprised, he looked pretty propoy. It's a 4-6 week injury, he has to go. Day has also injured his navicular, so I'm lucky to dodge that bullet.  Rankine is also expected to miss a week with the calf, so that's another issue people will have this week. Tsatas is due back and Caldwell is out 4 weeks, he is now a lock trade in.

I'd say you're on the money that he will get dropped. He seems one of the first to make his way out of the side. That fringe is always a worry.

Knevitt in but named on the bench. Maybe he is a sub risk

Quote from: Mat0369 on April 09, 2025, 07:32:30 PMKnevitt in but named on the bench. Maybe he is a sub risk

Can't think of a better sub in a big game like this will be. Still good he's back could go big if he gets a quarter maybe more with game on the line. You wouldn't start him as sub but could get decent cash gen.

Mat0369

I'm not sure if anyone still plays RDT, my team is actually doing pretty well and I posted it over on that board. I'm trying to decide my trades for the week

Mat0369

Sunday teams are a bit of a cluster F. Some of the guys named on the extended bench have swung on field (Travaglia for one) and it looks like Boyd is now an emergency for the Saints as well.

I don't know if Travaglia is worth jumping on at his price tag. First game he played he scored 83 and had a 52 of 9 touches last week which is quite high for not many possessions. However he is a sub risk and almost 180k.

Dudley is also a vest risk with Switkowski back. Archer Reid has already had a couple of price rises and I don't like the chances of him scoring well this weekend. There isn't much else in the rookie stakes.

If I do a Warner to Dudley trade, it will give me the cash to turn Lynch into JHF. Otherwise I can hold off, just do the one trade so far and assess on Stone to Dudley if Dudley isn't named the sub. That gives me some cash to attack next week with the new DPP release
