Quote from: Goosey on June 11, 2024, 05:51:21 PMGot sucked in by the projected and put the C on Daicos!

Scored 1914, dropped 157 to 2794 :(

Looking to trade Oliver/Sweet/Clark/Rogers, 210K in the bank.

Yeah so much worse for having picked him over Max (Same for me).

On the upside it just goes to show how much ground we can make up with 68 points in a round :)

I'd be doing Sweet down to either of the rookie options, and Brown to Clark.

Maybe Rogers to the other rookie option. But unsure on the benefit/need for that.

Tracs out for 6 minimum, I was going to trade Oliver but won't for now. Tom Green on the other hand..... "insert angry face emoji".

Yeah, maybe Oliver is a hold with Petracca out.
Sweet to Kreuger is a lock, not sure who else to get rid of for Dowling, going early on both with the bye still to come wasn't the plan.
Might just try and scrape through with 18 this week.

Goosey

Is Strachen a better option than Kreuger?

Mat0369

I like Strachan as an option, but he has the bye next week, was banged up late in that game and ROB killed the VFL. I think if he holds his spot after their bye he may be worth a punt on the bubble as ruck coverage. Probably the same risk with Kreuger as Mihocek is due back after the Pies bye and could push him out as well.

Goosey

Current trades are:
Sweet -> Kreuger to cover Max, and can then be DPP cover with Jackson.
Burgess -> Dowling F6, hopefully he gets a good run and can make cash/be cover.
Sullivan -> Houston to finish DEF (Daicos to mids, will shift back when making final trades for F6)

This givs me 18 this week and next, with Brown and Freijah to trade next if needed/wanted.

Leaves me with only F6 to complete the 18, 10 trades left, 221K in the bank.

Goosey

Round score 2015.
Up 431 spots to 2363.

First thought on trades are T.Brown to Sexton.

Daicos back to DEF, Dowling to MID, Sexton in FWD.

Sets up DPP with Sexton and Dawson for flexibility, not many other FWD options other than Moore who is on the bye.

In theory it finishes the team with 9 trades left, Butters out is a hit but will just have to suck it up.

Colliwobblers

I think butters will get off, he should they've already set the precedent earlier this season.

Sound trade and sexton should still make money.

Mat0369

I'd probably grab someone like Caldwell or Curnow ahead of Sexton at this point. Fisher can already swing into defense to cover. Otherwise if you want to grab Sexton you could also use your other two trades and do something like Rogers to a rolling donut (Rawlinson) and turn Freijah into Rozee which gives you M9 cover. Rozee will likely lose a bit of money this week so it's not a necessary trade, but it will help give you an extra scorer and some good bye cover.

Good point, I neglected the fact I already have Fisher, but Sexton is still good for team flexibility down the stretch I reckon. Suns are going well and perhaps he maintains a 90 average from here.

Good point, Sexton no guarantee to average 90+ for the remainder of the season, Rozee at a similar price point and probably at his floor. The only requirement to get adequate cover is to switch Dawson to defence and you're good to go.

Thanks for your thoughts :)

Yes, Frejiah to Rozee or similar sounds like a good plan for M9.

Ringo

With Will Ashcroft returning to Lions this week he will stay at $472k for 2 weeks so you may have 2 weeks to observe both Rozee and Ashcroft.

Goosey

Reversed the Sexton trade, back to 10.

18 "non-rookies" (won't call all of them premo's) playing, might make just the one trade. Had J.Clark at M9 and now have J.Rogers on the pine too.

T.Brown out, Daicos back to DEF and K.Brown to MID, gives me DPP with MID/FWD and builds cash to 433K that I can use on F6.

Goosey

Scored 2016, dropped 636 to 2999.

Thinking Oliver out and Sinclair in for DEF DPP, then Frejiah out, Rankine in to complete the FWD.

7 trades left, may luxury trade Miller, still have some rookies making cash and some to still return.

Colliwobblers

That's a very nice looking team after that. Think the DEF DPP is a smart move given the lack of bench cover in DEF.
