Thanks, that's it then, I suppose if Max returns next week things will be manageable. 90% certain I will be taking Butters & I will just have to choke on my ruck donut this weekend.

Bully

That's a shame for Heeney, could be a Corey McKernan situation, I think he will be close to the top, the only threat would be Bontempelli, or perhaps Neale.

Bully

Rankine cops 4 weeks, I think that's a definite trade to Caldwell if I had a spare. Will just have to hope Gawn is back sooner, rather than later. I think Mannagh is ok cover just so long as Gawn's only out for 2 weeks.

Mat0369

Swans are appealing and I don't blame them. The fact he copped a week and others have gotten off for blatant punches is ridiculous. They didn't punish the action in any of those cases but Heeney is being punished on the outcome of something completely unintentional

I'd wait to see what comes of that with Heeney before pulling strings. I hope he gets off it's completely stupid that cops a week and far worse stuff gets off. I'm all for protecting the head etc but c'mon surely common sense prevails sometimes. He didn't even go off with concussion.

I think it's worth appealing, didn't look like there was any malice.

I have Humphries on the midfield bench and want to cash in but not sure how I should approach it. Any advice?

I have considered reversing my Butters trade and keeping Miller and trading Rankine to Caldwell, the only hitch is it won't let me reverse & only will allow for an update trade. Am I missing something here?

Bully

Ok, worked it out, back to 1 trade, so I think I'm in an ok position to sort out this predicament.

1. Rankine to Caldwell
2. Reid to Phillipou
3. Miller to Butters and just swallow the donuts until Gawn is back.

I have 108 banked whatever I do, I can remove any mid or defender by swapping El-Hawli with Sinclair.

Mat0369

It's hard to know without looking at the side with each option. This is your last trade right?

Colliwobblers

I'd be tempted to trade gawn or hold the trade incase you have to.

Otherwise, I'd sort the injured Miller over the suspended Rankine.

Bully

This is my situation, last trade but facing 2-3 donuts due to Gawn & Rankine. Bringing in Phillipou also structures up the team a bit better with Comben being able to be swung back to defence.

Colliwobblers

Phillipou probably the right move to reduce risk, if you trust gawn and miller to get back. Gawn is the major concern, but he seems far from concerned himself. Humphries doesn't look like he's going anywhere the way he's playing so that's Miller covered.

Would be handy to be able to use Phillipou FWD as well as Comben back when required.

Bully

Now I'm hearing Houston maybe under a cloud, I really hate all the uncertainty, easy fix but given Port play on Sunday I will have to make the call today.

Bully

The difficult part about this decision is knowing exactly how many weeks Miller will be sidelined for, he's listed as 4-6 weeks but given he's pretty reliable with preparation I'd be guessing he will be back sooner rather than later. Copping a donut in the forward line will cost me all my head to heads, I have to either trade in Phillipou for added depth & increased security in defence or plonk all the chips on Caldwell and give Rankine the boot. Tough call, I really don't know the answer and I have 90 minutes to decide.

Goosey

In the interest of increasing flexibility while waiting for Heeney/Miller/Gawn/Rankine to return, I think Reid out and Phillippou in provides Dawson/Comben DPP which gives you maximum DPP cover. There's probably not much to gain by sideways trading any of the premiums.
