Quote from: arbel on July 09, 2024, 10:32:29 AMYeah Gawn has thrown a spanner in the works. How many trades do you have? Should you reverse the butters trade or are you going to sit and cop the donut? Heeney only out for 1 and never know miracle could happen and he gets off. I don't like that you get a week for that when there has been plenty of other worse things that have gotten off. At worse maybe a free for high.

If I reverse trade, I could potentially go Rankine to Caldwell, hold Miller and play Dowling in the midfield. I will only do this if Heeney gets off because the benefit will only be for 1 week, in fact there may be no benefit whatsoever as Butters has Richmond and could smash out a 160.

Surveying the damage I've got Miller 2-3 weeks, Gawn 2-3 weeks, Rankine 4 weeks and Heeney 1 week. All this cannot possibly be solved in one trade so I have to make a decision about managing the inevitable donuts. Experience tells me it's better to just grab the best available player and take my medicine for the next fortnight, the big risk here is Gawn's injury blows out to 3 weeks because I can't fit Rankine, Dawson & Livingstone on the bench.

Can't believe I successfully negotiated the byes only to be confronted with a quadruple whammy, SC Gods not playing fair this year.

I think I may have just cracked the Da Vinci code, Reid to Kreuger/Phillipou (I'm really liking the look of Phillipou although the DPP with Kreuger could be handy if Gawn is sidelined for 3).

Ringo

How many trades have you got as just read Miller is gone for 4 weeks as well.

Sadly I only have 1 trade and 116k up the sleeve, if Miller is gone for 4 weeks that changes things and I might just go back to Butters.

Bully

Gawn has a chipped tibia, that sounds like more than 2 weeks if we're being realistic.

I'm torn on this one, I feel Butters is the best option, even with donuts incoming but 3 consecutive donuts would just about book 3 losses in my head to heads.

What do people think? Depth versus a 120 avg midfielder, not sure which way to go. Phillipou is also coming off a ton and looks like he'll be getting midfield minutes.

Colliwobblers

Probably has to be Miller to Butters. 4 weeks is a long time, you'd think longer than Gawn.

But keeping Miller means I won't suffer any donuts (for now). It could be false economies however as Butters could easily outscore two rookies, I think I'm probably gravitating towards Butters but will no doubt change my mind 20 times between now and kick off.

I think we need to see what happens at the tribunal tonight. If Heeney gets off and Rankine gets it dropped to 2 to 3 that changes things

Max reckons 1 to 2 weeks

Nice, that's the news I needed.

Bully

Is there any chance Rankine gets DPP?

Mat0369

I thought the DPP changes already went through so no?

So no new DPP changes? That's it for the year?
