Chose to bump off ball and Starcevich was out. He was subbed off so not good. Head clash likely because Rankine also had cut his head open

Heeney looking like a week as well for a spinning fist that smacked Webster in the face

If I have Heeney & Rankine out then I will have to field Dowling or Humphries, the next few weeks will be tough by the looks of things.

Mat0369

3 to 4 weeks for Rankine is most likely outcome

Heeney may be one under the rule changes about high contact grading

I'm even tempted to grab Caldwell for a bit more flexibility, will assess things after the games today.

So this is it, couldn't believe my luck I could scrape in Butters with my last trade, fell in by $800, I think that's a nice bookend to a long season. I'm sitting at 16k with this week's 2406, that rank may take a hit with Rankine out for a few weeks. Mannagh looks ok for cover but Heeney might also be out in which case it's Dowling. Beyond that it's anyone's guess, if Gawn is also out I will be in some serious trouble.

Looking at this final team, I will give it a completed stamp based on Comben's late form and the general volatility in the forward line. The only player I'd really like is Neale but he's now well out of reach. Don't think I'll get through 6 weeks without incident, it's all about damage control from this point and a high chance my bench will be called to the frontlines.

So it's a sideways trade of Miller to Butters with Miller injured?

That will be the final act, I've been looking for a good excuse to punt Miller, he's been a butcher this year, happy to see the back of him. Gold Coast mids like buying from Dimmeys, much better places to shop.

I like Butters move, Rankines 3-6 weeks is annoying but fingers crossed Mannagh keeps that up to cover you

arbel

Yeah if can get Butters I think that is a good move. Do you have any trades left or is it ride with this team noW. I hate that new rule that could cost Heeney ... no malice in it at all, webster wasn't concussed just head high contact ... really hate it but is what it is

That's all she wrote, can afford 3 injuries before I'm chomping on donuts.

Bully

Gawn looks in worse shape than originally expected, that's a huge blow and means I will be down a man for next week. Classic carnage week, Miller, Gawn, Rankine & Heeney is savage even for this time of year. I feel for anyone who has those players plus McGovern, this week is going to be horrible. I think I might just switch off the footy and enjoy my weekend without stressing.

Mat0369

Sicily and Fisher as well, Sicily missed this week with his shoulder and I don't think he is a guarantee back this week and Fisher the foot

Bully

With Gawn out for 2 I've got big problems for the next fortnight but I suppose it could be worse, Rankine not having DPP is also a problem as he needs to sit on the forward bench. For all the ruck planning it's actually amounted to nothing in the end, can't see myself making finals from this position.

arbel

Yeah Gawn has thrown a spanner in the works. How many trades do you have? Should you reverse the butters trade or are you going to sit and cop the donut? Heeney only out for 1 and never know miracle could happen and he gets off. I don't like that you get a week for that when there has been plenty of other worse things that have gotten off. At worse maybe a free for high.
