Quite a few comments regarding English as a spud trade, his 58 was the only sub 80 score in 28 games, that includes 24 tons. I'm not the slightest bit concerned, I think he will be fine in the long run.

That changes things considerably, has to go along with Carroll, will have a look tonight, might be 3 rookies or 2 rookies and Walsh.

Scored 1953, that moved me up the rankings to around 30k, that's not great but I think the byes have ensured I'm not too far from the top. This week will be my final boost and I'm using it to clear out all the deadwood and also bring back Harley Reid. I'm down 70k from my original selling price but that's ok, Thomas replaced Reid to free up some cash and he's also put on 70k, I'm square with the ledger all things considered.

Comben & Graham come in, defence is finally sorted with Coffield put to pasture and next week Biggie & McAulliffe might come in to facilitate a big trade with one of the fallen mids. Green has a BE of 180, I'm estimating a 610k buy in, it also gives me an extra look at Walsh. Sharp should be ripe next week, 350k a nice platform in which to grab a gun mid.

You have most of the big guns along each line. I haven't looked too deeply into the rookies this week but the three that look like they need to come in if they haven't already are Clohesy, Graham and Comben and it looks like you'll have all of them. I thought the DPP options released this week but it must be next week?

At the end of the round they will be released, Comben is one who should get the DPP, that could be very handy.

Colliwobblers

Can't argue with any of that, the addition of a mid Premo next week removes the last of the real on field risk with rooks.

Of course there is always risk but all the rooks you have on field there except Sharp have been pretty consistent.

I might boost to get Comben, $70k is $70k is it not :)

I think Comben is worth a boost, I think with DPP he could be swung around as a spare parts guy, very similar to McCartin a couple of years ago. When the injuries start piling up it helps to have reinforcements, the Sexton/Comben combo could come in handy.

Mat0369

A BE of -75 for Comben is pretty tempting. He is averaging 5.5 intercept marks a game which is the most in the AFL. Mac Andrew is 2nd with 5, Taylor 3rd with 4.6.

Stewart who is one of the better intercept players in the comp is averaging 3.8 marks but 10.8 per game which ranks second. Andrew is first with 12 and Comben 3rd with 9.5.

I don't know if his numbers are sustainable, but the fact they're so high gives him a nice floor and shows why he has been scoring well. He will eventually put up one of those 30 point clunkers, but if it's in a couple of week he will have made you a boatload of cash by that point.

Bully

Darcy at 36%, 64% split, this one going down to the wire.

Bully

Horne-Francis 29%,71% split, I'd say unlikely but you never know.

That was a truly wretched week with coaching idiocy ruining an otherwise well planned out strategy. Let's start with the demise of Sam Darcy, not only did Lobb kill his scoring but his inclusion also spoiled the DPP party, he's now cannon fodder and has limited use once over the 300k mark. Could be gone as early as next week.

Charlie Comben was on fire in the first half but then inexplicably got shifted forward and for the final insult, placed in the ruck where he copped a battering, Clarko verging on crazy with some of these moves. I hope he moves back to his intercept role next week because he's a safe 70+ if played in defence. On the bright side, he's now got DPP and can work in tandem with Sexton (who may even get a call-up next week) and that's also a handy floating donut if on the outer.

For this week's trades it's out with Zac Williams and Sharp and in with Garcia and Walsh. Next week I will probably bring in Green who has another monster BE, price should be around 550k so a relatively easy upgrade with D'Ambrosio. The rookie cull will probably be from Thomas or Campbell, will just wait on final prices. My aim of filling the midfield as a matter of urgency going according to plan, Petracca will be the final piece of that puzzle, after which time we should have a bit more certainty with the top 6 backs and forwards.

I actually don't mind the look of this team but I think I'm probably one upgrade behind the eightball, making inroads seemingly difficult this year. Rank of 40k poor but still recoverable due to the byes.

I was glad I got Walsh in last week. He looks on another level again, just have to hope the back holds up. At his price he looks like a no brainer.

The Roberts DPP couldn't have come at a better time with Stewart missing with concussion. It gives you a bit of flexibility and Howes can cover the week

Walsh was even pulling off dance moves to get around would-be tacklers, this year looks like Brownlow form and I think at 570k he's well worth the risk. At worst he hits 630k and he can be sideways traded to Butters or Rowell.

Just on the mids, Green has a BE of 183, even with a 120 he will drop to 560k, he'll need to ton up this week for me to consider but I think last week's scores were severely impacted by the clanger count.

Petracca has a BE of 157, he may even hit that against Richmond although I'm tipping a 120 score and a nice little discount over the coming weeks.

I also haven't discounted Butters, D'Ambrosio to Ethan Phillips and Comben/Darcy to Butters all doable if Phillips finally gets a game.

Bully

With Reid being rested I'll loop Seth Campbell with Garcia/Thomas, might need both available if D'Ambrosio is also out, that would entail Graham to defence and D'Ambrosio can warm the bench for a week. The other option would be to hold Zac Williams and trade D'Ambrosio, BE of 62 means he shouldn't bleed too much cash.
