Everybody's favourite knockout competition is back!

A simple game...

The lowest scoring team is eliminated each week, until we have a winner!

You can get immunity from elimination if you had the highest score the week before (up until round 10) - in which case the 2nd lowest scoring team is eliminated.

So, who has what it takes to be World Idol?

Eliminated Teams
R1: Dublin (1107)
R2: New York (1124)
R3: Berlin (1133)
R4: Cairo (1122)
R5: Mexico City (1157)
R6: London (1079)
R7: Christchurch (1260)
R8: PNL (1300)
R9: Tokyo (1190)
R10: Rio de Janeiro (1200)
R11: Seoul (1280)
R12: Beijing (1203)
R13: Pacific (1285)
R14: New Delhi (1279)
R15: Buenos Aires (1176)
R16: Cape Town (1299)
R17: Toronto (1256)
Winner: Rome (1451)

Another year of rebuilding is on the agenda for the Destroyers (1107) - is our perception of this WXV juggernaut changing?

With coach RD listing all the New York (1124) drop in player averages from last season to the first 2 rounds of this season, I couldn't help but immediately think of this:

Me last week during my celebrations

Me now

Berlin (1133)

Purple 77

A team that I don't recall often getting into the 2nd half of the year, we once again say 'maybe next year' to Cairo (1122)

Purple 77

The overly critical could say the Suns (1157) haven't had two hands on the wheel for a while now...

Purple 77

I thought long and hard about London's (1079), and I kept coming back to this simple yet layered dialog

Purple 77

Considering those whom came before, and the fact Christchurch (1260) won by about 300 points this week... you think it would be enough! No matter how hard you try.

Purple 77

Sad reacts only as the good guys and 2022 World Idol PNL (1300) exit the competition

Purple 77

Tokyo (1190) often last OK in World Idol and 2023 has seen a change in fortunes... until now

Purple 77

A cool customer normally, Rio de Janeiro (1200) knew they were in trouble early and buckled to the pressure...

Purple 77

They're a great team, but not even Seoul (1280) is impervious to Clarry's absence

(a shame the immunity clause wore off this week!)

I concede this doesn't really work, but I think of this every time I see Josh Battle, whom was one of many that let down Beijing (1203) this week
