Wardlaw. The Carlton HBF's are like playing Russian Roulette, you never know which one will fire.

Cheers, just looking at my round 15 team I think I'll skip both to be honest, might just grab Fyfe instead.

I still think Cincotta makes some decent coin, I just think Wardlaw at a cheaper price provides more upside playing in the middle.

Sharp to Mullin also a possibility, that frees up 60k and gets me an extra player in round 15. What's his job security like?

I'm perplexed by this too ... he seems to be in as Geelong's main missing players are more mids/fwds and he,s slotted into defence.
Maybe Duncan takes his spot when he's back from injury. If you have 18 playing this week, I'd hold and see if he's named for round 14?
Won't have price rise til then so best to hold in case he gets dropped.

Not a bad week with 1854, moved up slightly to around 17k, things starting to break up in defence however, that's rotten timing to be honest.

I think Hall has destroyed Ziebell's scoring, he's taking kick outs and that spells trouble, it's now or never so I've decided to take the plunge on Yeo.This isn't without risk, I'll probably get burnt but I'm desperate for a decent trade down option and he looks good in the midfield.

The other trade ins, less controversial, Oliver & Petracca, both with a bye next week but I'll tank a bit with a view to getting 16-17 players in the round of death that occurs in a fortnight.

The prognosis makes for grim viewing with only 5 trades left, Atkins probably my permanent D6 at this stage, a 70 average not horrific however, something has to give.

From here it's Mills & Cameron, might have to wait 3 weeks but Mills edging closer to a return. Darcy Cameron will come in for Van Rooyen in round 15.

I'd say I'm in deep trouble, the bench looks horrible, might be able to scrap some funds next week for Fyfe, I honestly don't know, his DPP very appealing, BE 26 so I reckon a 40k increase at the absolute worst.

Not a bad week, are the 5 trades left after you've made those changes mentioned? How much cash do you have left?
I guess the only issue I could possibly see is that there are 2 spots to fill but not much in terms of cash gen?
Atkins at D6 is passable for the year but there is always the worry of his job security but for now seems okay.
Yeo always a risk of blowing up but he looked good on the weekend, hopefully thatss the form to expect if he can stay fit.

I have 8 trades leading into this round, so 5 left over from here, cutting things extremely fine for sure. Money in the bank is 50k so I think I'm good to get Cameron in 2 trades.

Cameron BE of 80, up against Gawn/Grundy so I don't think he'll be too expensive, I reckon 470k at the absolute worst.

Van Rooyen projected to hit 325k with a 50, that gives me 375k so will need a good trade down option for Ford who should hit 230k (BE -17), maybe McAndrew (BE -2).

Getting the cash for that last upgrade more problematic so may have to focus on a trade down option, perhaps a premo down to Mills and then upgrade Johnson to whoever I can afford.

That will leave only 1 trade which is cutting things fine but I knew that about 1 month ago. I actually think it's pretty remarkable I've managed a half decent side with all the rookie bombs I've had to deal with.

No doubt the injuries will pile in, Yeo is risky business, Atkins still may have to vacate the seat for Weller, with any luck Roberts returns.

My worst trade for the year was Phillips to Drury, I held him for 1 month but lost patience, that has been a savage blow.

Just a few things I was debating

Himmelberg vs Yeo

Does Harry go back forward when Haynes returns?

Petracca vs Brayshaw (plus extra game & 75k)

What would you do? I'm less concerned about rank so tanking round 14 no big deal but the cash could be handy.

Bully

Oliver has a blister on the foot, might miss another week, this has forced a significant rethink. My other option is to go Sheezel/Zeibell/Horne-Francis out, Brayshaw/Sinclair/Lloyd in, might be better to launch a bye blitz  and try and exploit Oliver's absence.

arbel

I'd go Brayshaw over Petracca and bank the 85k. Brayshaw also had bye so no issues there to worry about.
I have a feeling most people are in trouble with the R14 bye so can probably not be in too bad a position there.

Yeah, I think Brayshaw the better bet after careful consideration.

Harry versus Yeo, one coach a little bit clearer on role, looks like Harry is set for a stint in defence, I think he's my man for a Sheezel downgrade.

Still no word on Clarry, hopefully out of hospital tomorrow.

arbel

Oliver ruled out as of this morning ... Yeo is better if he stays fit but that is always a gamble, especially with Eagles players.

I'm actually getting cold feet on both HH & Yeo, Harry named on the bench with defence looking ok at a glance. I reckon with Clarry out I'll grab Sicily instead.

Looks like I lost the Lloyd vs Sinclair toss up, I picked Lloyd given he seemed settled in defence but Horse played him on the wing last night, can't take a trick with these coaching moves. At least Lloyd has West Coast in round 15, might claw back some ground there.

Sheldrick looked ok last night, might be a decent downgrade option for JVR, just have to wait and see if he makes way for Parker.

Bully

What are the odds Zeibell gets the flick this weekend? Named on the extended bench, 5th person named which can sometimes be a guide. If he is dropped it will be interesting to see the various back-up plans, I'd probably be grabbing Darcy Cameron.
