I doubled down and made Steele captain. Giant turd of a week

Ouch, I brought him in this week and while not expecting him to be the 130 player of years gone ... didn't expect that effort.
Hopefully the bye gives him a reset

Round 11

Score: 2068
Rank: 53,545
Round Rank:  97,313
Cash: $133,000

Trades

Simpson>Wardlaw
Kelly>Steele
Cowan>Butler

Good: Sicily, Dawson, Stewart, Doc, Neale, Rozee, Dunkley
Pass: Sheezel, Gulden, Mitchell
Bad: Day, Green, Cogs, Gawn, Marshall, Ziebell, Butler
Ugly: Steele (and captain), Smith, Ashcroft, Wardlaw, Hollands, Ryan

That was a disaster of a week. Trading Steele in and making him captain was just the cherry on top. No idea what to do this week other than Hollands to Ford. Ryan needs to go, I can upgrade him to any player in the 625k region. Briggs looks like a popular cash grab choice but is 250k and ruck only. I have 10 trades and about 280k after the Ford trade with 4ish upgrades remaining (including Sheez, Gawn, Steele and Day).

Bully

Briggs is a waste unless you are trading Darcy, much better to grab Darcy Cameron next week.

Yeah I'd think hold on the Briggs trade with not many trades left and still 4 upgrades to go.

Trades

Ryan>Ford
Hollands>Libba

Good: Stewart, Dawson, Libba
Pass: Doc, Cincotta, Wardlaw, Butler, Gawn, Rozee
Bad: Sheezel, Day, Green, Cogs
Ugly: Smith, Ziebell, Ford

Last week was a flat out disaster. Libba was a great pick up, I probably should have brought Briggs in as he looks like he will make some amazing money.

I have a few anchors and no idea what to do with them. They aren't in the ball park but with a lack of trades, lack of dollars and lack of options coming through I'm going to have to run with it.

No one stands out this week to trade in and out so it is a hold with 9 trades left. I had the vice on Libba for the 2nd straight week so I'm taking his score.

My anchors

Day - Hasn't hit the ton since he returned from suspension and is off the pace from the top end defenders. He seems like one to sideways and I may do it on their bye week but right now he is the least of my problems.

Sheezel - Hit the rookie wall with a change in position. Was looking like a  keeper but looks to be bleeding cash now. I feel like he will still score better than most other rookies and is a hold until I can upgrade those spots first.

Gawn - Nowhere near the player he was and splitting time with Grundy will see him continue to suffer. He needs to go and may be the one to dump next week.

Steele - What a terrible trade he has been. I got sucked in by the big score from a couple weeks back and he has been poor the last fortnight. Looks past it as a top end scorer but I have to probably hold at this point and hope that I can get a big month through the SC finals.

Smith - Scored okay tonight after a couple of back to back stinkers. Probably another I have to hold and hope he smashes it through the finals with a good run home.

I also have Ziebell who has struggled the last couple of weeks but he is a hold for me as well. With 3 upgrades left I think the plan is get those sorted and then look to fix the above issues, although Day and Gawn are tempting if I can find the right moves next week.

Bully

Ziebell to Cameron looks like a good trade to me, you collect some cash, you bring in ruck insurance and you could use that dough to get Sheezel up to a mid like Brayshaw (via Cincotta).

Trades

Good: Sicily, Sheezel, Day, Mitchell, Libba, Wardlaw, Marshall, Gawn, Dunkley, Rozee, Cogs, Ziebell, Ford
Pass: Dawson, Neale, Smith, Ashcroft
Bad: Doc, Green, Steele, Cincotta
Ugly: Sicily, Gulden and Butler

Pretty average week in the end. Had some pretty decent scorers and a couple of my worrisome guys ended up finishing the week pretty well.

Players I am thinking of this week

Fyfe
Thomas
Himmelberg

Needing three mids all of those guys may not be the best way to burn 3 of my remaining 9 trades, but they all seem like good coverage options that are super cheap. I can probably afford to only grab 2 this week. Fahey is the other if he holds his spot that could be a out of the box cash gen option although I think Binns might be getting a game soon and has DPP.

Guys I am considering for my remaining mid spots

Mills - 1-2 weeks away and will be a bargain
LDU - Traded him out initially but could almost sideways Ashcroft to him with no cash spent
Cripps - Has had a horrid run of form but he will also be super cheap and a potential sideways swap.

If I can manage to get all three of those guys in a 1 for 1 trade that will leave me with 2-3 trades and a completed side

Mat0369

Out Mitchell and Butler
In Fyfe and Thomas

Leaves me with 25k

arbel

A few people jumping on Thomas, will generate cash which is good.
I too am thinking of LDU (also had him then traded him out) Was good in the early part of the year and is cheap. Just needs to refind form

The game where he injured the hamstring he was exceptional. At under 500k he seems like a great value buy.

I'm pretty sure I traded him to Josh Kelly who injured his hamstring a week later and then I ended up trading him out because he was expected to be back post bye. Kelly is back this week and Steele is the player I traded him to for back to back terrible scores. I'm not having much luck this year

Good: Doc, Sheezel, Libba, Neale, Green, Ashcroft, Dunkley, Rozee, Gulden, Cogs
Pass: Stewart, Cincotta, Smith, Thomas
Bad: Marshall,
Ugly: Ziebell, Steele, Fyfe, Wardlaw, Ford

Pretty disappointing week. The Fyfe trade was certainly a flop and I was probably better off holding Mitchell, however I needed the cash to be able to grab Thomas for Butler which worked.

This week I am screwed, the fact that Oliver didn't get up just adds to it. I am thinking just the one move this week. I am contemplating Ford to either Sheldrick or Dev Robertson. The downside is it doesn't pocket me much cash and it will leave me with 6 trades, anywhere between 59-87k and 3 upgrades in the midfield remaining.

Ringo

I would do Sheldrick but watch Lions team announcements.  McCluggage this week and Zorko possibly next week to return placing Devs JS a little shaky.

arbel

Agree ... seems sheldrick has ditched the vest for now so seems the safer option.

Mills to return, potentially Roberts as well. I'm always a little reluctant to pick Sydney players.

The way this year has been I'm reluctant to pick any players  :P
