I ended up going with Sheldrick but I feel I may regret that. Playing WC hopefully he has a good game

Ringo

Hope Sheldrick goes well for you after Dev stinking last night to justify the decision.

Score: 1,441
Rank: 66,518
Round Rank:  91,706
Cash: $87,800

Trades

Ford>Sheldrick

Good: Stewart, Dawson, Day, Neale, Dunkley, Gulden, Sheldrick
Pass: Fyfe, Steele, Marshall
Bad: Ashcroft, Gawn
Ugly: My bye management/Oliver/Sicily

It was an expected terrible week but I can't be too upset. Heading into this week I am either contemplating holding or maybe looking at Ashcroft to Cripps. I still worry about Cripps a little and the BE's are similar for both players. The Cripps trade will leave me with approx 39k, 5 trades and 2 upgrades.

arbel

Still in good shape. What's the plan with the backline? Looking to be batting 1 player extra
I'm guessing Dawson to mids for Constable. Still leave 6 good backs. Obviously covering for Sicily (just saw him in there)
Could look at downgrading Cincotta/Wardlaw to anyone and then upgrading Ashcroft to best available

Mat0369

Plan is to cover for Sicily and then swing Ziebell forward once his suspension is over.

I was hoping to do the Cincotta and Wardlaw for Mills trade next week or the week after. It would leave me with 3 trades and 1 upgrade left at that point. I need to be careful blowing through all my cash right now or I'll be screwed getting that last mid in

Trades

Ashcroft>Cripps

Good: Stewart, Dawson, Doc, Neale, Libba, Green, Sheldrick, Wardlaw, Gawn, Gulden, Rozee, Thomas
Pass: Ziebell, Cripps, Marshall, Cogs
Bad: Sheezel, Steele, Dunkley (injured)
Ugly: Day, Cincotta, Smith, Fyfe

A few of my yo-yo guys putting up some crap scores again. Fyfe and Dunkley both injured, Roberts, Davey, Constable and Sharp not looking like coming back. Sicily still has a week on the suspension and Oliver has been a disaster.

Plan this week is to get Mills, Fyfe is the easiest path to this happening. I'm thinking Cincotta to Cuningham for the cash which will allow me to cover both Dunkley and Oliver this week. The plan is to get Wardlaw to Miller in a couple of weeks when Touk has bottomed out. That leaves me with a full team and hopefully one trade in the bank

arbel

Yeah pretty solid path to follow. Def trade out Fyfe as it appears he may not come back this year.
Other trades are solid. Like many others you'll have the 'worry' players left ... like steele for example.
But I think for most it is just have to deal with it at this stage!

Team shaping nicely though

Mat0369

Looks like Oliver out next week if he is gone another month

Mat0369

I ended up making a last minute move with Ziebell the sub. I turned him into Cuningham instead of Cincotta, used Cincotta for coverage this week and it will give me enough cash to hopefully turn Wardlaw into Miller in one trade. Thomas becomes my F6 instead for the time being. That will leave me with 2 trades for finals to make some sideways trades if needed

arbel

So many weird things happening this year. I kept Ziebell but was in same boat considering trade for a while.
Thing is you'd think he'd now hold his spot with Logue doing his ACL.
Trades are good though. Thomas as F6 could be a worry but seems to be averaging fine at the moment.

Round 17

Score: 2192
Rank: 66,614
Round Rank:  79,596
Cash: $253,400

Trades

Ziebell>Cuningham
Fyfe>Mills

Good: Stewart, Dawson, Doc, Day, Neale, Cripps, Steele, Marshall, Gulden, Cogs
Pass: Mills, Rozee, Thomas, Cuningham
Bad: Sheezel, Libba, Green, Gawn
Ugly: Cincotta, Sheldrick, Wardlaw (late out), Smith

The outs last week were a bit of a disaster, Wardlaw was a late out that gave me a nice donut, Ziebell named the sub, a couple of players either ill or injured during the game (Smith and Sheldrick)

What to do this week? Well I think I am looking at a donut again unless I make a move. Initially I planned to hold Sheldrick but the ankle might force me to move with Smith also out sick. I originally wanted to bring in Miller for Wardlaw, but I might have to move Sheldrick for Miller a week earlier than I had hoped to cover the donut.  That's on the assumption that Oliver is still out, Dunkley and Warldaw are back and I don't have any other outs.

arbel

Yeah bit of a mine field at the moment. I'm hearing Oliver likely still out and could be for a month. Listed as 4 weeks on the injury list.
Dunkley they said a week away but heard he'll have a test in the week but is probably only 50/50 at best.
I also see wanting to wait with Miller as well as his BE of 186 he'll drop a bit in price. I guess comes down to who you play in leagues?
If opponents have similar issues could hold. Doesn't help with bulldogs/swans playing tonight though.

Mat0369

Dunks out again kinda screwed me. I unfortunately had to make a couple of moves. Although I would have loved to wait on Touk, I ended up grabbing him and Himmelberg for Sheldrick and Bailey Smith. Gives me a full squad, 1 trade and about 50k in the bank. Oliver is about a month away but could be a nice POD for me in my cash league since most would have traded him and I should squeak in.

Round 18

Score: 2200
Rank: 65,013
Round Rank:  47,534
Cash: $49,300

Trades

Sheldrick>Miller
Smith>Himmelberg

Good: Stewart, Dawson, Day, Sheezel, Libba, Gawn, Gulden, Rozee
Pass: Cripps, Miller, Steele, Cogs, Cuningham
Bad: Doc, Neale, Mills, Himmelberg, Thomas
Ugly: Sicily, Cincotta, Wardlaw, Tom Green, Marshall

Another week, another round of injuries and disappointment. I'm glad the Thursday night games are over without the mad rush to lock in some trades prior to the games.

If I had my time over again, I would probably hold Bailey Smith, the trade was to dodge a donut and dump the disappointing Smith in the process, however the Green news was announced the following day and I ended up with a donut regardless.

Teams haven't been kind yet again, Cripps rested against the Eagles, Wardlaw out 3-4 weeks with a hamstring, my bench rookies are all MIA and with Cripps, Oliver and Green all out I will have at least one donut.

My plans for this week, Wardlaw needs to go and I need to use my last trade. My possible options are anyone in the 345k range. I feel like my best three options are Atkins, Bowes or Hewett. The DPP of Atkins is handy and with Weller out for the year you would think he is safe. Hewett has the best ceiling and should have a clean run in the guts for the run home and Bowes would be a loop with Cincotta while Doc covers in the midfield. I am leaning towards Hewett since he has the best scoring potential when fit. He has gone on runs where he has averaged big numbers before. Either way I am pretty screwed and this season has been a disaster.

arbel

I feel you ... been one of those years with injuries and resting players. Haven't seen it this bad in ages.
Hewett think is the best choice but also yeah i'm concentrating on my last trade being someone to loop.
That could be a good idea to have that cover.
