Holz

Dublin Trade: Pick 23 + Lachie Schultz
Capetown Trade: Callum Coleman Jones + Hugh Jackson

Reason: Tristan Xerri identified him as the next coming ruck for Dublin so will chase the guy who played when he was injured to secure hopefully the future set (when Goldy retires in 5 years). Jackson just a guy i liked in last years draft that id like to punt on and to even up the deal slightly.

Confirmed. Holz gets his set, and I get peace and quiet. And also a forward who will play each week. Win-win-win.

PowerBug

Rio trade: N54, N90, Andrew Phillips
Rome trade: N52, N69

Don't really need or want Phillips anymore, more useful to Rome.

Jukes/Torp to confirm

Phillips stinks but PB made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Gotta save my go-smalls for attacks!

Ringo

London Trade  Liam Baker + Pick 43
Toronto Trade Justin McInerney + Pick 33

Not sure whether McInerney will retain Mid but he will strengthen defence with Lukosius possibly on the move and more than likely losing Defence status,  Exchange of picks makes up difference in points scoring.

FTC to confirm.

Confirmed. Although I am a big Justin McInerney fan, who has proven to be a steal for a player taken at National #79, I am willing to take a slight age and pick downgrade in return for the versatile Liam Baker. While Tim Taranto's impending arrival may limit the scope for Baker to spend time on the ball, I'm optimistic that he can push his average back into the 80s to form a key part of the Toronto backline.

Koop

Christchurch give: Jack Henry

Beijing give: Michael Frederick + Future 2nd Round Pick

Reasoning: swapping a defender for a forward. Pick to balance

Urbs to confirm.

Confirmed. Sucks to part with Freddy, but he's going to a loving home and I reckon Henry will bounce back in 2023

RaisyDaisy

New York trade: Darcy Fort + Nat Pick 26
NDT trade: Nat Pick 16

NDT slide back 10 spots in the draft to secure Fort and the Brisbane ruck set, and I upgrade my 2nd round pick into the 1st round

backup for omac

Holz

Dublin Give: Jroo + Future 4th
PNL Give: Alex Mirkov + Lachlan Murphy

Reason: PNL needs some fwds and Jroo extending for another year. I pick up Mirkov for my Calrton ruckline and the Future 4th is a upgrade on where he was taken last year so that along with Jroo compensates for the good pick of PNL last year. Murphy is just a cap dud which balances most of the cap lost for Jroo. PNL high on cap and Dublin low on cap so wanted to keep it pretty cap neutral.

RaisyDaisy

Seoul give: Toby Conway + Toby McLean + Shannon Neale + Nat Pick 32
Seoul receive: Scott Lycett + Nat Pick 13

PNL give: Scott Lycett + Nat Pick 13
PNL receive: Nat Fyfe + Jeremy McGovern

Berlin give: Jeremy McGovern
Berlin receive: Nat Pick 16 + Nat Pick 32

New York give: Nat Fyfe + Nat Pick 16
New York receive: Toby Conway + Toby McLean + Shannon Neale

The Breakdown

We all agree that Lycett, Fyfe, McGovern and Conway (Pick 16 last year) are all of similar value (low to mid teen pick)

Fyfe, Lycett and Gov all have their injury concerns, but Fyfe gaining FWD improves his value, while the emergence of Finalyson and to a lesser extent Teakle/Dixon could add risk to Lycett's JS and role, which balances them out as R vs F

Seoul was initially getting 16 and Berlin 13, but they swapped (16 + 32 for 13) whilst Neale + McLean gives me the value I need to balance the trade out, and McLean is someone I have always been high on and am backing him to finally bounce back from his injured years and have a much better 2023, whilst Conway Neale complete my ruck set

JB, Purps and Daz to confirm

Confirmed: Losing some fwd fire power/depth so building it back up with jroo and might need extra picks next year when a couple retire

confirmed: while i rate Lyceet as a 95+ ruck we have rucks already our fwdline has been hit hard and needs stocking up, i'm hoping fyfe can have a uninteruppted preseason and hit the ground running
Mcgovern bolsters the backline was worried about it last year and got found out with a xouple injuries so good to get some strong presence in there
