Round 7

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ

AFL teams will be announcing their teams at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday (Wednesday for Thursday night games)
Sunday teams are confirmed at 5pm AEST on Friday (Saturday for Monday games)

We will NOT be using a partial lockout, please read the rule below.

You are encouraged to name your full team at the start of the round and edit accordingly as teams drop each day. I understand this is not possible for everyone, hence why it would be preferred that people name their full team to begin with.

If you make any edits to your team, please do so in a new 'quote' post.

There is no loopholing allowed in ADT

- We are now back to traditional Friday-Sunday games, therefore you can name four (4) emergencies.

- In the event a coach either submits an incomplete team or fails to submit a team at all without contacting the admin, they will receive a warning/strike and their submission from last week will be used.

Friday night FULL LOCKOUT at 8.10pm AEST

- Teams are to be posted in this format only

Round 7 - Washington Wrangle a W

Springfield (1603) defeated by Washington (1663)

Washington finally get their deserved win! And while carrying an OOP emergency no less. Gawn (149) put the team on his back once again as captain and he delivered big time this week with assistance from Cripps (125) and Blicavs (116), though they were offset by Howe (42), an injured Rioli (28) and an OOP Nelson (39), as Washington were seemingly out of mids. Springfield weren't awful, but just didn't do enough to get the job done. Laird (118) and Daniel (105) were the best of the bunch, but Rachele (43), Battle (49) and Maynard (51) were disappointing. Springfield still stuck in the mid-pack, but Washington jump El Paso and move off the bottom of the ladder.

Guadalajara (1471) defeated by Los Angeles (1583)

Guadalajara fail to capitalise on a weakened LA this week in a similar story to the last few games. Steele (115) and Keays (100) once again lead the line, but as is becoming a trend, there was little support for them. Shuey (102) looked good, but with 8 scores below 60, including a shocker from Finlayson (28) you're not gonna be doing much. For LA, it was a similarly average showing, Brayshaw (82) disappointed as captain with Docherty (100) and Warner (104) the only centurions on display. Unlike Guadalajara though everyone else performed well in a consistent fashion which was enough to get them the W. LA will be hoping they can rediscover their best form soon as they drop off the pace of the top 2, while Guadalajara will be hoping they can get more from their players if they want to play finals.

Calgary (1606) defeated Hawaii (1414)

Another win for Calgary drags them into the top 6 as it looks like they're back on track after a big hangover. It was all about Tom Stewart (157) who notched up the best score of the round, with good assists from Demons duo Petracca (111) and Brayshaw (110), though the win was marred by an injury to Holmes (14). Hawaii struggled big time this week missing the entire ruck division and a couple big name players too. Broad (27) was brought down to earth and Coleman (63) was stuck playing in the ruck but Pendlebury (113) and Zorko (105) wound back the clock. Hawaii is now a game behind the top 6 and needs a win to keep in touch.

Dallas (1842) defeated El Paso (1647)

Speaking of in touch, it's another mammoth score from Dallas and another win in the books. Debutant Greg Clark (110) started his career in style and increases the squeeze on midfield selection while Mills (131) and Oliver (126) continue to post big scores, and Dylan Moore (138) continues to smash it this season. 1800 scores seem like the norm now for Dallas and there's no signs of stopping now. For El Paso it was a decent score, but a victory against Dallas away never seemed likely Parker (119) was impressive as was Blake Acres (109) as he carved up the Cats on the wing. Not much else to be said, but now El Paso are 10th on the ladder.

Arizona (1834) defeated Bermuda (1632)

Arizona continues to shadow Dallas waiting for a slip-up with another dominant showing, as 7 110+ scores tends to do. Miller (140), Josh Kelly (134) and Josh Dunkley (133) were the top scorers, but had to make up for Shiel's (43) sub display and Ziebell's (44) forward tenure. Arizona were very hit or miss across the board, as they've been all season. Bermuda posted up a good effort, spearheaded by Neale's (142) captaincy, but an injury affected score by Daniher (15) as well as other poor performances sealed the deal, now dropping off from LA in third. All signs point to a tantalising clash between Arizona and Dallas next week.
