Rd 13 Lodgement and Banter Thread

With now having Thursday Night games the following rules will apply: Loopholing is not permitted,

Captain, Vice Captain and emergency vice captain to be specified and will be locked as will Tigers/Suns players at bounce of Tigers/Suns game
Cats Bombers Players will be locked at bounce on Friday Night
Remaining players will be locked at bounce of GWS/Melbourne on Saturday.

Teams to be lodged in UF and this thread with Emergencies in order so Admin can make the required adjustments if necessary as per this rule so you can see the importance of order: Note if Teams not lodged in this thread then UF order used which means first emergency is your defender.

With  lockout in UF at bounce of First Saturday game please ensure teams are also updated in UF.

When lodging teams please do not edit teams post in a new or quoted post.

Round 13 Draw with first named team having the HGA. Couple of games for position in the 8 and a number maybe for % boost. 3 rounds remaining.

Hastings Hurricanes v Oxford Lions
1st v 3rd  Hurricanes have been blowing opposition away and with the Lions injury crisis hard to see them stopping the rampant Hurricanes who are consistently scoring 2500 plus. The question going forward who can stop the Huricanes blow towards the premiership.

Staines Steins v Wrexham Knights
4th v 6th - Probably match of the round.  knights will want to win this one to possibly get into the top 4 but a loss will not be the end of their chances though. Knights have the defence to shut down the Steins and if they can control the centre they may upset the more fancied Steins. Knights will need to find a way to combat the twin Steins rucks. With not a lot of confidence Steins at home.

Birmingham Dragons v Winchester Werewolves
9th v 10th  Another contender for match of the round and if Wolves lose chances of making 8 all but gone. Wolves have the superior attack but unfortunately have a very leaky defence. If they can tighten up in this area they are capable of dousing the Dragons fire. Dragons have been hit with injuries and depending on who returns will assist them.  Wolves struggled against the Breakers last week. Wolves will be hoping for the return of Captain Fyfe and if he does favour them to get over the Dragons.

Liverpool Rams v Huddersfield Hawks
13th v 16th - Should be good match between these 2 lowly sides.  Hawks have really been struggling to field a team and this tilts the game in Rams favour with the home ground advantage.

Swansea Breakers v Grope Lane Giants
15th v 5th hard to see anything but a % booster for the Giants here.

Leeds Leeches v Bradford Badgers
2nd v 12th - Question of the week will the absent Leeches coach turn up this week. If he does not expect the Badgers who are showing some form at the wrong end of the season to get the chocolates. If Coach turns up expect a close game with a toss of the coin to decide.

Blackpool Bunnies v Manchester Magic
7th v 11th Bunnies will want to win to stay in the 8 whereas Magic is in a must win situation if they have any hope of getting into the top 8. Little separates these 2 teams % wise so another tight game here with the Bunnies hopping home on the home ground advantage.

Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs v Nottinghm Hoods
14th v 8th Hoods have a precarious grip on 8th position and will be seeking a win to cement a win to remain in the 8. Expect the hoods to fire up for this one and account for the Hedgies.
