Thoughts on my team?

i am pretty happy with all of the lines except the midfield. Would love to have a better M4 and M5 but not sure how to do that without getting rid of one of the top tier price players.

Can you get Rowell to Dusty? If so then I would be super impressed.

Depending on your thoughts you could drop Dunkley down to Daniher (a lot of teams have JZ and Joe at F2 and F3) and then grab a decent M4 with Rowell at M5,

Rowell is a worry, either get you 80-90 (not quite right shoulder?) go nowhere in price and waste a trade upgrading, OR give you a big advantage in 2020 scores and NOT needing to trade him in.

Hard to deepen the midfield without changing neale to merrett (for money) and rowe to premium. neales be is 134 he'll probably get it but I'm hoping to get him cheaper, honest i just cant afford him.

i think very good looking team, hard to improve, you have to get money from somewhere to do so, how much left in the bank?

i actually dont see much value in Dusty apart from there arent many other good fwd options this year. I can only see him averaging around 100.

i only have 7k in bank. If i did Dunkley to Daniher and id only have 546.6k in the bank to get a mid (such as cripps/walsh (which i am unsure about). I actually dont think it would be worth it as i am unsure if that 546k mid would do well enough in his position to justify the pick. I see Dunkley (if uninjured) being able to finish the season as one of the top forwards.

thanks mate. I can justify trading Neale as i didnt start with him last season and regretted it. I totally agree about Rowell, however i am uncertain with all of the midpremos under 600k this year. I would have liked to see more of Taranto, Walsh and Cripps beofre rd 1.

another option im considering is going Grundy to one of the rookie rucks and then a mid rookie to Merrett.

The ruck rookie is more likely to score better than the mid rookie, however Grundy my possibly make money (making it hard for me to upgrade to him later on).

I too considered it and then looked at Grundys Draw Dogs (English, Martin), Carlton (Pittonet), Lions (McInerney), Giants who knows who will be there by then and then West Coast, So he could average 130+ over this period which could see his price rise by up to 50k.

I'm back on rowell.

Don't go any other ruck , gawn has a protege to share ruck with and he's totally max priced, couple negatives there, but you need the points he'll still score and he's season long so up down in price, no matter you'll have him start to finish. what you stand to lose by playing anyone else is season ending before you even begin.

team looks great, move danger to mids and a rook to fwd line and it looks like the best of teams do :)

Wish the top tier premos weren't so expensive so i could select another keeper in the midfield. Although Rowells stats didnt stand out the other day, he played a really friendly sc role with the majority of his disposals being contested.

grundy safe as houses at his price. same again he'll be there all season, and you'll be glad he is.

yeah alot of teams looking very similar. I have 2 premos in the forward line as 1 makes it look to weak for me. Both Danger and Dunks im hoping will be top 2 forwards if uninjured.

Yeah Gawn should be in every team based on his first 5/6 games of the season. Hes an easy captain choice. Although Grundy is good value, i dont feel like he has been at his best for a while now (still did well in sc last year though). On the weekend it wasnt until the second half that he started scoring well once Nank was rested.

I like this setup. I'd personally drop Short to a rookie and Impey to Cahill (love his HB role this year). Should give you 560k plus whatever you've got in the kitty. However it wouldn't be worth it if you can't get a top line midfielder!

would love to do that but there seems to be possibly a lack of rookie defenders this year.
