Interesting choice with rucks not going one of the big 2 may put you behind the eight ball to start.

Batting deep in mids so I would look at downgrading 1 and getting Grundy or Gawn to partner Preuss.   I would also look at getting Marshall or similar R/F into forwards as added protection. 

So I would probably do Nat to Grundy with some of your cash and then see what happens to forwards.  Maybe even move to Danger to mids and turn one of Fyfe, Rockliff into Marshall.

I think your other lines suffer because of your strong midfield.

I'd be looking at Rockliff to a rookie and Roberton to a premium. There will be more scoring/cash generating rookies in the mids than backs. Would leave you with enough cash to go Nic Nat to Grundy as well. It's boring but unless your going with someone like Pruess/Naismith as a stepping stone there's no ruck premiums worth picking other than Grundy/Gawn

I would pick Martin before Preuss even if he was fit..

With injuries to Whitfield and Pruess - there have been some necessary changes.
Worried about the rucks not going with G+G, but surely Martin has some upside (I hope?)

If Neale and Gawn both start slow (I doubt it) then this time will do really well!

I would be looking at get both Neale and Gawn in though personally!

Not so worried about Neale - but Gawn does concern me.  Need to lose a premium on another line to pay for him

Yeh, Neale is entering a season with an injury concern for about the first time in his career (calf I think) plus he comes up against Sydney in the first game and they have tagged him in the past. Might be a bit slower out of the gates this year.

I couldn't face not having Gawn in the team - too much of a risk.
It means 2 rookies on each line which hopefully will be ok (if you consider both Ziebel and Daniher up forward not as rookies).
I haven't looked at the byes ... I tend not to care about them at this stage as they work themselves out I think

Still have $89K available in the bank so pretty happy with the possible flexibility

As a Carlton supporter, I'm riding all the hype around Paddy Dow for this season - at $202K surely he must be a consideration.
He has let himself down for long enough.

Is this the year he stands up and shows us his true potential?
