Money Shot 2021

Defenders: Lloyd, Ryan, Laird, Williams, Gould, Bianco (Brand, Eyre)
Midfield: Neale, Steele, Oliver, Cripps, Rowell, Heppell, Burgoyne, Kemp (Cook, Carroll, Downie)
Ruck: Gawn, Preuss (Treacy)
Forward: Dangerfield, Heeney, Ziebell, Daniher, Dow, Cockatoo (Bowey, Bedendo)
$11,900

Obviously, very dependent on rookies being named.

Gawn to Grundy will be the first move to happen if i need funds.
Laird/Ryan to Witherden also on the cards just want to see if Witherden is taking the kick ins.

So much value in the forward line so definitely going to be going cheap here.

Paddy Wow to breakout this year.

Ringo

Nice team.  Strong Def Line and good prems on other lines. Like us all hoping the Gods shine on us with cheap rookies playing Rd 1.

Any consideration to say Marshall as forward to take advantage of RF DPP.

Definitely something I am considering!

Hopefully, Gawn or Grundy and Preuss last the first 5 or so rounds and then if one falls I’m hoping I’d be able to upgrade Ziebell or Daniher up to Marshall!

Hey MS, if you had to choose between Neale and Gawn fir first round (with Neale getting the Clarke tag) and Gawn against Darcy and an easy second game, who is your choice (probably not the right thread, but a question of an expert?

If I had to choose one it would be Gawn! At this stage I’ll be going Gawn into Neale though.

Neale has started the year off on fire the last two years before cooling off before seasons end! I don’t want to risk not having him. Clarke is a bit of a concern but don’t think it will make too much of a difference!

Gawn should score well against Darcy in my opinion.

Really nice team ms.  only imo but, I think anyone not starting Gawn will battle to get him in, you have that covered. Menadue def from Nth Melb is a good pre season watch at 201,500k if rookies are scarce. Good team, good luck.

Defenders: Lloyd, Ryan, Laird, Williams, Gould, Bianco (Brand, Eyre)
Midfield: Neale, Oliver, Walsh, Cripps, Rowell, Heppell, Burgoyne, Kemp (Cook, Carroll, Downie)
Ruck: Grundy, Preuss (Treacy)
Forward: Dangerfield, Martin, Heeney, Ziebell, Bergman, Cockatoo (Bowey, Bedendo)

Out: Steele, Gawn, Daniher
In: Walsh, Grundy, Martin

I can’t help myself but get excited by the Walsh hype so he has made it into my team.

Gawn to Grundy was almost always going to happen for me as I think Grundy will outscore him this year so I decided to bite the bullet now. Hopefully, Preuss kills it and Gawn has a slow start and I can trade them later!

This allows Daniher to go to Martin who is a sure top 6 forward.

Would love people’s thoughts on the team and trades.

Lloyd to Whitfield is the move I’ll make if I need some cash. Currently have $0 in the bank :o

Ringo

Nice team here,  Any thought of Marshall in forwards as additional ruck/fwd option instead of Maerin.

Peter

As usual, the issue will be needing to spend more on rookies and who you have to sacrifice. Hope Lloyd to Whitfield will be enough. Good luck for 2021

Thanks mate!

Definitely one I’ll be considering!

Just don’t like his scoring output with Ryder in the side!

Martin has the potential to start the year off like a house on fire whereas Marshall could be more of a first upgrade type of player for me.

Definitely on my watch list though.

Yep it’s the common issue at this time of year ;D

Thanks and same to you.

Defenders: Lloyd, Laird, Whitfield, Williams, Bianco, Gould (Wehr, Highmore)
Midfield: Neale, Oliver, Dangerfield, Cripps, Rowell, Hately, F. Macrae, Valente (Durdin, Downie, Rioli)
Ruck: Grundy, Preuss (Treacy)
Forward: Marshall, Martin, Heeney, Ziebell, Cockatoo, Smith (Rowe, Spicer)
$7,400

First attempt now that we are rock and rolling...

Hately I’m unsure on but I’m really happy with the rest of the team.

Hopefully, enough cheap rookies pop up to make it viable.

13 Keepers + Preuss, Hately, Ziebell!

Ringo

Like it slightly different to mine but that is the advantage this year as will be a lot of different teams.

Danger in mids is interesting

If Danger is fit and healthy I want him in my side round 1.

He’s obviously got an injury cloud at the moment so having him in the middle allows me to easily swap him out for a Mitchell/Fyfe type.

If he is fit come round one I’ll probably swing him forward and put Walsh in the middle for Martin.

Nice team MS,  really like the depth in Def and Fwds.   Could pay off big time.   Mitchell is under injury cloud,  Fyfe is Fragile and expected to spend time up fwd,  Danger is ??,  think you need to look at Zerrett, Kelly and Walsh as the alternative.

As I review other coaches teams it gets harder to stick with a GG ruck combo.   The additional depth seems too beneficial.   Though I am committed to a totally GnR + Danhier start and see if the mathematical modelling of growth benefit of rookies is realised throughout the first half of the season.   Excluding my first year in SC in 2013,  I have gone backwards in the 2nd half of the season 6 out of 7 years.   I want to see if GnR pays off.
