Used The Phantom’s rookies as placeholders with a tick over 200k in the kitty to tinker with.
D- Lloyd, Whitfield, ZWilliams, Milera, LJones, WGould, (JWehr, THighmore)
M- Neale, Oliver, Mitchell, Walsh, Rowell, Heppell, WPhillips, CStephens (Valente, Durdin, Collier-D)
R- Grundy, Preuss (Treacy)
F- Dangerfield, Marshall, Ziebell, Daniher, SFlanders, JRowe (Cockatoo, BLaurie)

Ringo

Nice team - very similar to mine so hard to fault. Only premium differences Adams for Walsh and Heeney for Ziebell.

Nice cash reserve to sort out rookies mid pricers playing Rd 1.

Money Shot

I like the team too.

As I mentioned on Ringo’s post, Milera is a a bit of a risk as he has never really proven that he is capable of pumping out the scores needed to be a premium defender. He is young and due to breakout though so I guess it is calculated.

Apart from that it’s a really good looking first team.

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)

Nice team enz. Milera already explained, have a look at Menadue from Nth Melb. Could hold down a wing spot from game 1, couldn't hold a position in Tiger line up. Doubt he'll be a great scorer but should be a reliable and reasonably cheap alternative if rookies are scarce, $201,500.. With 200k to play with you still have the option of Eitherof the big " G's "  in the ruck.  Once again nice team and love your flexibility. Cheers.

D- Lloyd, Whitfield, ZWilliams, Milera, LJones, WGould, (JWehr, THighmore)
M- Neale, Oliver, Petracca, Walsh, Rowell, WPhillips, TBianco, CStephens (Valente, Durdin, Collier-D)
R- Grundy, Preuss (Treacy)
F- Dangerfield, Marshall, Heeney, Ziebell, Daniher, SFlanders (JRowe,Cockatoo)

Took Mitchell out as had post season shoulder surgery and is on restricted duties with some doubt for R1.
Put Petracca in his place who has great durability history and is in his prime years. No role issues and appears a safe though pricy pick.
Took Heppell out as apparently he is facing a race against the clock to be ready for round 1 as well due to ankle surgery and recovery. That has allowed me to get Heeney and strengthen my forward line with less reliance on forward rookies who have burned me in the past.

Byes
R12 Rowell Dangerfield Whitfield Preuss
R13 Neale ZWilliams Walsh
R14 Milera Grundy Marshall Lloyd Heeney Oliver Petracca

Petracca and Heeney really load that R14 bye fixture though. Not sold on it.

Ringo

Nice team and yes Rd 14 is problematic for a lot of players as I found out when I analysed mine.

Structure similar to mine as well. I am using Fullarton at R3 as he will probably play and make cash. Just need to look at the draw though.

tkringle

Something to consider with Dangerfield.

I have him out at the moment as don't think he will be targeted going into the cats forward line as much with Cameron there. Might be able to pick him up cheaper later.

Geelong star Patrick Dangerfield has revealed he could play forward more frequently early in the 2021 season as he works to overcome the groin soreness he carried throughout much of last season, including the Grand Final loss to Richmond.

Dangerfield remains hopeful of being ready to take on Adelaide in the Cats’ Round 1 clash, but won’t risk a return if he isn’t fully prepared for the March 20 clash.

Speaking on Thursday to the Herald Sun as the club locked in another long-term sponsorship deal with Ford, the 30-year-old midfielder said he would continue to make regular trips to Adelaide to see renowned groin/hip expert Steve Saunders.

“It’s getting there,” Dangerfield said of his groin soreness, conceding for the first time that the issue had hampered his effectiveness “for a while now”.

“Round 1 is a target and I don’t think I am at any risk of missing that, but I am also not bound by that (time),” he said.

“It will be ready when it is ready. I have had enough experience and longevity in the game to know Round 1 is not the be all and end all.

Wondered about Fullarton and will be watching for any news about him as at 128k with ruck fwd dpp he probably offers more than Treacy for minimal coin.

Danger has a great early draw and I feel he will still tonne up as a fwd kicking 2-3 goals. If he misses R1 he becomes Dusty probably.

Money Shot

Like the team mate!

I agree that even if Danger plays predominantly forward he’ll still have a big impact on the game.

enzedder

Cheers Money.
Reckon Petracca becomes Macrae too in the above for better bye structure.

Mat0369

My gut tells me Danger is going to play a bit of forward regardless. Scott has looked to keep guys fresh for finals. You're more likely to see guys like Mengola, Parfitt, Guthrie do the heavy lifting to give Selwood and Danger a chop out.

Took Petracca and Heeney out for Macrae and Martin. Better premiums, better for the byes, and Heeney is a long road back to round 1 with ankle rehab.

D- Lloyd, Whitfield, ZWilliams, Milera, LJones, WGould (JWehr, THighmore)
M- Neale, ZMerrett, T Adams, Walsh, Rowell, TBianco, CStephens, Collier-D (E Smith, Valente, Durdin)

Byes
R12 Rowell Dangerfield Whitfield Preuss
R13 Neale ZWilliams Walsh Zerrett, Martin
R14 Milera Grundy Marshall Lloyd Adams

Took Macrae out for Zerrett who have the same bye, save 30k and no fear of multiple mids at the doggies anymore with Macrae out of my squad. Took Oliver out for Adams who also has the same bye, save 68k and without Treloar at Collingwood hoping for Adams to score at PB levels which is certainly possible in 2021.
132k to play with...

Money Shot

Very well balanced team.

I personally think I prefer Macrae and Oliver though.

Oliver is only going to get better and I trust Macrae more than I do Zerrett.

In saying that, can’t go wrong with any of the 4.
