London trade: Blake Hardwick + Pick 30

New York trade: Luke Dahlhaus + Cam Ellis-Yolmen

Hate to part with Hardwick and as we have a number of defenders to cover worth while to strengthen other lines. Dahlhaus will be a starting forward for us and Ellis Yeoman further mid field depth.

Confirmed

London had surplus def depth which is what I was wanting, and lacked forwards and mids so Dahl will start for them and CEY gives them some depth. Dahl is a starter for me so I lose that, and Hardwick will be depth for me, but helps with my age profile

London Trade: Jed Bews
Seoul Trade: Irving Mosquito + 54

Happy to trade Bews as have surplus defenders and gaining Mosquito will improve forward line.

Confirmed. Just needed a warm body in the backline.

New York trade: Lachie Henderson + Nat Pick 30
Beijing trade: Nat Pick 28 + Nat Pick 34

Hendo's a solid D4/depth type with a 70avg and all the reports suggest he is keen to play on and Geelong are keen to sign him on.

Jing looking for a little cover down back, and I'm happy to take a shot with the pick

Confirmed.

Hendo is a handy guy to have and should be useful cover for 1 or 2 years, at the cost of some later picks.

Beijing Trade: Jaxon Prior

Cape Town Trade: Zac Foot

GL wanted that Lions injection, and a simple swap of depth players was enough.

Confirmed. Need more brions.

Holz

Dublin Trade: Marc Pittonet + Trent Cotchin + Ned Reeves
PNL Trade: Dylan Shiel + Pick 50

Reason: Going all in for the flag push and with Goldy, Pitto is just a mid to me and Shiel im banking on outscoring him. Cotch i think will bounce back however with the addition of Shiel I dont need him. Reeves i didnt want to let go and i have flashbacks of when i added in Omac as steaknives to NDT.

Shiel is a safe no thrills guy who at 28 entering the season fits my age profile. Goldy has 10 years left in him anyway.

Rio trades: Jack Ziebell
Moscow trades: NAT Pick 21

Hopefully we get an F3 over the next couple years, and can afford to lose a decent pick for that given our plethora of picks in the teens.

Confirmed.

Pretty straight forward trade. I didn't think I would trade this guy tbh, especially as I picked him up in the Brayshaw trade a couple of seasons back and was a big part of my 2019 season. Someone who before 2020 has gone 80+ in each of the last 8 seasons (with so many injury affected scores), and had only missed 4 matches total in the 5 seasons from 2015-2019. He will have gotten his body right over 2020, and has shown he can be a good scorer, especially when he plays through the middle. When you look at all the players North lost this offseason he definitely could get midfield minutes, and show that 2020 was an outlier. He's also got the upside of getting injured in the first half of matches so Moscow will always get their sub come on for him if needed. He will be a good fwd starter for Moscow.

On the flipside I get N21 which is a whopping 10 years younger, which helps keep the age profile down if I choose to keep. Trent Dumont, Sam Philp and Callum Ah Chee were all picked at N21, clearly a recipe for success.. Having traded away form this section of the draft it was good to get back into it, even if it's only for bargaining power in a future trade. It also cuts the cap a bit just to ensure I stay under and give me freedom in future trades of which there will be heaps because I love trading.

As I said, pretty straight forward trade which doesn't need to be explained much, there's adequate value for Ziebell whilst also really benefiting both teams.

*Note this is done on the expectation that Trade 41 passes*

Not the ruckman I wanted to be getting from this trade period but we can't all get what we want sometimes :(
