Seeing as it’s the first week of SC Finals what are most doing with Laird and Neale?
I’m trading Laird personally (moreso for overall purposes than finals, still got 18 prems without him), but holding Neale. However, their could be some merit in trading him for someone like Josh Kelly + cash going elsewhere
Considering Mitchell. Neale BE of 216. Get him back in after a few to replace rd 16 bye player. Certainly worth considering.
If you've got enough trades it could be a shrewd move. I only have 6 left, so can't really entertain it.

So i have 14 trades and am looking at other options to bypass trading Neale.
I’m in a very competitive league and the guys I’m up against trade heavily.

I could trade Neale to Macrae but I could also try and trade Sarong to J Kelly.

I have Noble and Rankine who can be traded to so I do have options but it all comes down to my opponents.

I do have enough trades to trade every week but I’d rather avoid trading Neale and then trying to bring him back in 2 weeks later.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't there only a max 13 trades left this season if you make max trades every round?

Rankine to Jack Martin (hopefully he can keep up his 100 ave)
Close to Riccardi

Wont have any rookies left on field. Only have one player averaging under 90 (Angus) and have docherty (will be 5 trades left). Am missing Bont and Brayshaw (who i traded out rd 1  :'( ) and trac and loyd  :'(

Traded Brayshaw as well,  doc is driving me nuts but I am short on upgrading him to LLoyd.
Sicily>Maynard
Serong>Zerrett
4 trades left and 210k in the bank.   Be nice to get a good score from Doc and a poor score from pigeon.
Still got no prem R2 so need cash to upgrade Draper to Goldy/Gawn in next week or two.   lowest avg player is 94.8 outside of Draper.

McDonald in defense worth the 550k price tag?

Or go with Maynard or Saad and pocket the cash

Depends if you need the cash.  If you dont need it for more upgrades then go with who you expect to score the most over the next 5 games.   Cost is almost irrelevant.   I see maynard avg 105 and McDonald between 110-115  so McDonald probably the choice.  Like many coaches though we are still trying to understnad the change in role for Mcdonald because if his role reverts back to previous his scores will be sub 80.  Risk involved unless you call up Rhyce Shaw for inside info?  ;)

So I’m deciding between Simpkin and J Martin for Serong.
Is J Martin a risk?

He’s a risk, but one worth taking I feel

Taking out his 18 he has been very consistent. I havnt payed much attention to him in games but is he playing through the midfield?
Well it’s either out of Simpkin or Martin... leaning towards Martin.

Mat0369

Martin was in the majority of the Blues CB's prior to his injury. He probably gets Greenwood or Maynard this week if he plays HFF again so pass.

Simpkin has been playing pure midfield all season. Apart from the three game slump where he was injured and copped a Curnow tag he has been excellent. 3 tons in 4 weeks is also nice.

Heaps of cash to make but anyone contemplating trading Draper? I know he’d be great ruck coverage but not many rookies worth culling atm. Downgrading him would help to finish a lot of sides

bkimm32

I did it, pulled the trigger and traded Neale. Make or break.

Neale > JKelly
Laird > ZWilliams
Close > Riccardi

Lesssssgo GWS lol

Gives me $323k to play with next week. Still have 8 trades left so no problems upgrading someone like Coniglio back to Neale in a couple weeks time

FYI we were talking about this a while back during the 1 month frenzy of footy

But I just traded Laird out then for Williams, decided I’d wait until Thursday night teams before definitely making the trade... but didn’t really want to reverse as I’d have to reset all my emergency, bench and c/vc options back.... so I just simply traded Williams back to Laird and it gave me my trade back... very handy to know

Now that I know this, it allows me to make trades prior to teams being named, just incase I forget or too busy to get on to make trades they are already in place, and if someone is a late out in then round or a shock drop you can simply trade back and get your trade back, throughout the lockout. I love this feature... assuming it is a feature and not a glitch?

Note: for this to work I believe you have to have one trade in hand for the round. E.g if you have used all your trades, you’ll have no option to trade at all

I’ve probably explained this really poorly, but anyway, I understand it in my head lol

Been telling people for ages they can do this as long as you haven't used all your allocated trades for the week and neither player has played yet. You can also "alter" your original trade by trading out the traded in player to someone else.

EA100

DEF: Laird, Ridley, Williams, Haynes, Stewart, Docherty (Watson & Rivers)
MID: Neale, Bontempelli, Fyfe, Steele, Cripps, Mitchell, Adams, Bell (Shoenberg, Bytel & Close)
RUC: Grundy, Draper (Cameron)
FWD: Petracca, Martin, Whitfield, B. Smith, D. Smith, Simpkin (Aarts & Georgiades)

8 trades left & 46k

Thinking of going Aarts & Georgiades > Ricciardi & Mosquito but no sure on the third trade. Thinking of pulling the pin now on Bell which gives me about 590k so i can get someone like Zerrett or move D.Smith to the midfield and grab someone like Walters or Brayshaw... Thoughts?

OK, so, after this week I have 4 trades left and $14k.
I always aim for cash league win. This year I ended up 4th and went better over all.

Hoping I win this week and save trades next week for the prelim.

Did Sholl/Neale/Bytel to Z.Williams/Boak(POD)/North

All the best, but Boak has a bye next week.  You maybe better off getting Zerrett

How did you go with Boak v Zerrett?
