Viney is a career 90ish player. You're getting what you paid for now

If I had him, I'd be trading

Sideways is the exact opposite of what you should be doing...

Who said anything about sideways?

Upgrade him, to a proper prem

Might not be the number 1 priority at this very moment, but you're just going to fall behind if you plan on keeping him

Feel like there's a good lesson here... Seems very rare that a guy with a pretty consistent scoring history (over several seasons) suddenly breaks out and becomes a gun. Obviously there are a couple of exceptions here and there, usually because of some significant role change, injury etc, but in general, you can trust the scoring history when it's consistent over 3+ seasons.

People thought he could maybe average 100 and it would give them nice coverage and some cash generation, but history shows he is not that good. Those big juicy one-off scores really get people going for some reason. I had zero interest in Viney but this is a very strange and shortened year, so I can see why people are taking more chances this year.

True, but I'd rather get lower scoring guys off first then Viney to Fyfe in the next 2-3 weeks.  Hopefully he can add a big score before then so he's price doesn't drop too much more.

cranky as,  was slated to trade him last week as he had topped out and was tossing up between him and pickett and went up going with pickett.   now this week it is him and rowell to steele and aarts/bennell +315k cash in bank?    Last week I figured odds were he would hit is avg and at worst drop 10-15k max.   Best case was another blinder.   Instead stunk it up and lost heaps.

Ringo

and with a B/E of 136 this week will drop even further.  Been trying to upgrade for 2 weeks but injuries and non selected rookies took precedence.  In hindsight probably would have been better taking the donut.

Yeh, Ringo  now my choice is I can keep Viney and take Buderick score  or Trade Viney and get Aarts scored down fwd?   Tempted to go aarts but bloody viney will grin and score 140 to just piss me off.   If keep the bugger he will have 10 clangers and score 60-65.    Why did I go for the cash grab again,  may as well as just kept whitfield.    Speaking of whitfield what has changed in his role at GWS to affect his scoring so much?  Possibly bring him in next week  though not convinced he will be the 100+ scorer of old
