Looks like they've made a call on what'll happen with the rescheduled game..

https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/supercoach-news/kfc-supercoach-to-revert-to-best-18-scoring-system-in-round-3-due-to-postponed-essendonmelbourne-game/news-story/2ca63a5499f993ca92bf9b57af424c6c

The game will be included with the closest round, with player's highest score from the two games being counted in Supercoach..

I feel that's a good solution, you couldn't possibly have a double game round with both scores counting, so this seems a fair solution.

Not good enough for the people that lost on the weekend I feel.

Think top 18 was the fairest outcome on the weekend (and yes I had 5 out as a result).

What wasn’t fair was not being able to use the scores of non emergencies that had already played prior to the announcement in the top 18.

The top score from 2 games makes sense and limits any further rigging of people loading up on dees and dons players. Double scores would have been a terrible outcome.

Do their prices change after their "first" game of the "round"?
Can they be traded in "mid-round"?

I agree MJ. The people with Gawn (C) got burnt bad. If I had got 270 odd from him I reckon that woulda been fair. Personally I reckon he woulda comfortably beat that anyway. As it turned out, when I got home Sunday my choices were either take Cogs (VC) or give (C) to Brayshaw or Houston. Gave it to Houston. Some of the reasons against average seemed a bit thin too. People could get Viney etc. Would be a value trade but would have nowhere near the impact the best 18 has had. Double points was always going to be a bit over the top so I suppose we just have to take the new ruling in our stride & hope to peg back some points from that. Sorta glad my season is going poorly else probs woulda been pretty peeved off.

It’s a mess.
I had Gawn C and had to settle for Grundy as poor VC.
Should have gone Rowell with benefit of hindsight.
Had 5 ESS/Melbourne players.
Nice time now for others to bring in Rivers and co.
Ranked 67k, bottom of leagues and could not care less.

RaisyDaisy

Still an incentive to bring in Dees/Dons as we essentially get two cracks at a good score from them that round. Gawn C will be a no brainer you'd think

I certainly think best of 2 scores is the right call - I couldn't believe double points was even suggested in the first place, would have been disastrous if they did that

I was actually quite fortunate with all of this. I had Gawn C, but thankfully had Neale VC and I also had Pitto covering Gawn

Everyone had Dev Smith, and the Dees rookies I had were also covered by solid bench scoring

My favoured strategy is - suck it up Princess

A few days on and I am not as deflated as I was over the weekend when I copped 4 ess/melb players and Whitfield 8 - still scored 1900 odd just miffed.    SC is ok where as AFL is a disaster as I missed the cutoff on trades on first week of 5 trades.   Lots of missed rookies, wrong prems total cluster truck. Could not care less about AFL and DT this year.

At first I was happy with the best 18 as I was pretty deflated with Whitfield's score, and as a non-Gawn owner I was worried about him smashing out a big one against Bellcho.

I scored 1971, but hard not to think what might have been with Oliver, Viney, Dev and Petracca not counting. I can't really complain though with others getting screwed worse than me

What if Essendon make the GF?

They'll be locked at the bounce of the first game, so no mid-round trade in. There's been no confirmation on which scores count towards price changes (Could be just the highest, could be both).

Yep, that's been my approach to this as well. FPL really builds up the mental toughness haha that game is BRUTAL.

Decision has been made, it won't change, our job as fantasy coaches is to try and make this news as much of a positive as possible :)

The whole 'but people can trade in Essendon and Melbourne players' could have been avoided by locking them out....
