But Williams played midfield towards the end of last year? What if he comes in for Green and Ash stays in?!

Green is playing more in the CB's. Williams was playing more on the wing. Whitfield, Kelly and Cogs back sees them revamp their midfield again. Add in Hopper and Hately to that midifield mix and it sees Williams go back. Green can also play forward so Cal Ward might be the one to watch for in that situation

Williams averaged 4.6 clearances from round 18 onwards last year, so he must've spent a decent amount of time around stoppages.

Comparing the 2020 midfield to last year, it's Coniglio in, Taranto out. And Tomlinson out, Hately onto the wing. Nothing else has changed - Ward is still injured, Hopper and Kelly were both there last year, and Whitfield is still going to be an outside player.

I don't think Williams will move away from the midfield unless they are desperate to play Green.
