Hi all

I've mainly lurked but aiming to increase my posting a bit! Here is an early stage draft team, subject no doubt to countless further changes:

It's not the usual structure - I was keen to do something different, although I'm not quite sure this is right.

In early drafts it looked like there were fewer mid rookie choices and more up front and back. As it's levelled out more this structure has started to look more risky.

Probably the main reason I've stuck with it for now is that I don't feel confident really with any of the forward options, so don't want to sacrifice a mid for something too risky. The only locks I reckon are Dusty and Whitfield, with Whitfield overpriced and liable to change role at least slightly with GWS' ins.

Another option would be one fewer mid and e.g. Sicily in - so four defenders. I could take or leave that and don't consider Sicily the safe bet that others are thinking. Jacobs to Gawn another obvious option - again, I could take or leave it with Gawn's price tag. It probably comes down to Gawn or Macrae, and not much splits them.

Let me know what you think, and happy to provide feedback in turn!

It's nice to see something different.

Personally I'd be going nowhere near Stewart, and I think you need to find a way to get Whitfield in where you have Greene. Otherwise it looks good! Have you got much money left over?

Thanks for the positive feedback!

I have 25k or so. I can go Stewart to Sicily, Stephens to Close and get Pickett on the field, and Greene to Whitfield.

It feels good, but I haven't formed a view on it yet. Appreciate the idea and will no doubt spend many hours thinking on it and switching back and forth  ;D

Different structure to most  with 6 strong mids but leaves your forward line exposed with Bonar at F3.  But if happy with it fine.
Watch on Stewart as he has had an interrupted preseason.

Could look at Stewart down to Sicily/Houston.

However I would be looking at the option of 1 prem mid and playing around with the $400k+ you will generate and see what teams look like.  Thinking Rowell will play every game as will Pickett probably leaving you one more to field and Buderick/Stephens looking likely.

Number of options for you to look at whether as you say Jacobs to Gawn, Bonar up to prem,  Greene a reasonable pick but need to be prepared for him to miss a game or 2.
