Charity Footy Tipping 2020

After the success of last year’s comps, we’ll be going around again with a 2020 edition of the Charity Footy Tipping for Cancer Council Victoria. For simplicity, I’ve adjusted the rules from last year so that you no longer have to pick a margin â€" you’ll just get the winning (or losing) margin from the team you picked. Good luck!

How to enter:

2. Submit your tips to me before Thursday March 19th 7:25pm AEDT using the below format. Feel free to post your tips publicly after the first bounce.

Rules:

1. Pick ONE team you think will win each round for the first 18 weeks of the season. YOU CAN ONLY PICK EACH TEAM ONCE.

2. All tips must be entered prior to the opening bounce of the first game of the season.

3. Each correct tip will score 1 point and the margin for that match will be added to your tally (to be used as a tiebreaker if necessary).

4. Each incorrect tip will score 0 points and the margin for that match will be subtracted from your tally.

5. The winner at the end of the season will receive $150.

6. I will be competing too and, if I win, I will donate the $150. I will share my tips by quarter time of the opening match for transparency.

Charity Footy Tipping 2020 v2 â€" COVID-19 Update   
As of 16/03/2020, the AFL has changed to a 17-game fixture with every team playing each other once. The first four rounds are as currently fixtured with the following rounds to be rescheduled at a later date. I have updated the rules of the competition accordingly. Those that have already tipped will have until the first bounce in Round 5 to update their remaining tips if they wish to do so.

2. Submit your tips to me before Thursday March 19th 7:25pm AEDT using the below format. Feel free to post your tips publicly after the first bounce.

1.   Pick ONE team you think will win each round for the 17 rounds of the season. YOU CAN ONLY PICK EACH TEAM ONCE. (Note: There are 18 teams and only 17 rounds so one team is not required to be picked at all.)
2.   Tips for the first four rounds must be entered prior to the opening bounce of the first game of the season.
3.   Tips for the remaining thirteen rounds must be entered prior to the opening bounce of the first game of Round 5.
4.   Each correct tip will score 1 point and the margin for that match will be added to your tally (to be used as a tiebreaker if necessary).

If you have already submitted your tips, I will take your first four rounds of tips as they currently stand unless you advise otherwise. You will have until the opening bounce of Round 5 to submit the remainder of your tips; otherwise, I will take your tips from Rounds 6-17 as they currently stand, regardless of any changes to opponents.
