Is there any reason there seems to be no talk about Sam Mayes? Purely job security issues?

Maybe because he is too much of an unknown as to his JS, his ability to keep up a high score, many teams doing double upgrades due to the double downgrades last round, teams looking to pick up some of the other rookies that have had one price rise that they consider better value, etc. If I was in the market this round to pick up a rookie priced player (even though he is over $200k), I would be considering him.

I don't trust his JS with the Hoff a good chance to get back in the 1s at some stage. Although he did do well in his 1st game so will go up lots if he does well again.

I don't trust his JS with the Hoff a good chance to get back in the 1s at some stage. Although he did do well in his 1st game so will go up lots if he does well again.

If he gets games he should score well and make lots of money, but that's a big if.

Anyone think Close will get a game again?
Want to bring him in, but needs to be done before the Carlton game starts, which will be before teams for tomorrow come out.

I think Geelong still have enough guys out at the moment that he will play this week.

Once guys like Selwood, Narkle, etc. start to filter back into the team his JS might be an issue however?

I would love to know, but I'm just going to pull the trigger anyway and cross my fingers and toes. If he doesn't make the cut, then hopefully he gets some games during condensed schedule when players are being rested maybe. I don't have a loophole anymore, so worst case he becomes my loophole. He is cheap and his DPP is handy.

two Def rookies to debut this week, couldn't of timed it any better. Keane for magpies and Edwards for WCE. 8)

Thanks guys. I was thinking the same thing with alot of Geelong guys still out.

I think I'll wait for teams. Originally wanted to do Williamson to Hurn, but maybe it's best to keep him with the unknown right now. At least he'll get some points, more important than losing some dollars at this stage in my opinion.
Can do someone else to Hurn instead.
