This is an insane game

Purple 77

Awaiting official SC scores from Rich/Bris, but atm we have:

Toronto
Prestia slowed a bit, but still scored a crucial 110. But it's Alex Witherden that might have killed the Wolves, with just 37.

New Delhi
Bachar Houli effectively matching Prestia with 107 was huge - leveling the match - so Stef's 84 has gotten New Delhi the lead!

New Delhi by 47 points, with two players on each side left to play!

Half time Port v Freo

Ed Langdon!!!! The potential match sealer is on 76, but Robbie Gray is on just 20.

For Toronto, Connor Blakely is on 35, but Travis Boak is heart-breakingly just on 26.

New Delhi are about 82 points ahead with one half of footy left to go. Can they hold on, or will Boak spark the comeback?

Congratulations NDT! Deserved to go out with a flag, enjoy retirement!

Oh my god! Congratulations to New Delhi and retiring coaches Ricochet & elephants!

There are SO many stories in this!
- New Delhi win their first ever premiership, avenging their 2016 premiership loss
- Ed Langdon (pictured above) produces the sealing effort with a wonderful ton
- The Ricochet/elephants transformation is complete, taking over arguably the worst list ever seen in Worlds all the way back in 2013 and retiring on a premiership
- New Delhi captain Scott Pendlebury leads a premiership victory over his original club, who took him with the #1 overall pick in the original draft.
- Gary Ablett Jnr - pick 3 in the original draft - was best afield, and last played in a grand final in the 2013 Sao Paulo premiership.
- Toronto heartbreakingly finish runner-up in back-to-back grand finals
- Replacing Sidebum - who suffered a ruptured testicle - Rupert Wills plays in a premiership win in his first game for New Delhi!
- New Delhi triumph over Toronto in their third clash of the year, and the coaches 4th clash of the year including the representative match. This is the first time Ricophants were victorious.
- The minor premiership curse continues; no club that has won the minor premiership has gone on to win the flag
- Toronto produce their second worst score of the season at the worst possible time

Purple 77

Commiserations to FTC and Toronto, who were clearly the best team of the H&A season. Premiership losses are hard to stomach, but there is every chance you'll be back this time next year.

Purple 77

Thank you so much Ricochet & elephants, but particularly Ricochet in recent seasons, for one of WXVS - if not THE - best ever coaching performance. You will go down as WXV Legends.
