If that was Day 3, we just had it.

Yes MAXXY! Can he hold on to the lead?! I genuinely don't know! I haven't tallied any more votes! But anyway, good to see him above that scrub at number 2.

Boomz

It's a shame Dunkley is so far back and Whitfield got injured  :'(

It's Day 4, and the boys are pulling up s... not good:
- Jukes & PB have managed to comfort a wicked hangover with one of their 5 panadols, but RD is refusing to use one.
- iZ, FTC and Torp have begun looking at their watches, feeling anxious about the study they'd otherwise be procrastinating around.
- Fresh from announcing their retirement, co-coaches Ricochet & elephants were greeted by a wave of applause.
- Roaming BT made way to JB, and asked him to describe Ricophants in 25 words or less. I'm told he did it in 3.

So in that spirit, let's do it!

Round 12

A very high scoring round, which saw 194 from Crippa, 173 from Dunkley and Walters flowering robbing Gawn of another 3fa.

Meanwhile, Toronto & Rio engage in one of the highest scoring games of the season.

In previous years, the All-Worlds team was put to vote by the community. However, this year I have determined the All-Worlds team because its kinda clear for the most part, except for the bottom 5 players or so.

To qualify for the All-Worlds team, you'd have needed to play at least 12 senior games. The following analysis has been done from the 17 H&A season rounds, inclusive of reserves scores (this is consistent with previous years).

Defenders
I produced a rank for each defender according to the total points they scored compared to all other defenders (rank 'X'). Separately, I produced a rank for each defender according to their average points per game (rank 'Y').

I multiplied X and Y together, to produce Z. I then sorted 'Z' by smallest to largest. The top 4 defenders made the All-Worlds team.

For example, Shannon Hurn had the 2nd highest average for all defenders. X = 2.
But, he had the 8th highest total points scored. Y = 8.
Z = 2 x 8 = 16

16 was the 3rd lowest score, meaning he is named as D3.

This method thus takes into account both games played and points per game.

Midfielders, Rucks and Forwards
See 'Defenders'

Utilities
See 'Defenders', except all players are compared to each other regardless of position.

Captain & Vice Captain
Were those with the best overall ranking. Don't worry, this was clear no matter what angle you cut it.

Heeney representing!

In some pretty good company there - wasn't expecting him to be going this well

Purple 77

Alrighty! Into the final day!

Ah, the final 3 rounds. They were all 'cluster' games, where everyone played a team from their 'third' of the ladder in 2018.

We learned many things, none bigger than the final make-up of the 8. The exact placings would have huge ramifications, say, for example, an elimination final defeat or a grand final representation. Some coaches are acutely aware of this, and have rocked up to the final day of the count in... varying shapes and sizes:
- UTM has rocked up fairly well, all things considering. He'd be thinking the addition of last years Jim Stynes medalist Tom Mitchell will be the difference to Pacific's existing list.
- Koop has been spotted observing the players that have rocked up, and introducing them all to Sam Lloyd at every opportunity.
- Ringo - sporting a ham radio and an ear piece that we can only assume is tuned into the ashes broadcast - briefly received accusing stares after he was seemingly booing some key speakers. However, he assured he was simply shouting "Boo-urns" moments before the Hazlewood dismissal.
- And finally, in a moment of madness, Cairo co-coach ML - whom did not convince the bouncer that he was indeed on the list - needed to separate Nige & Andrew McGrath in a verbal scuffle that begun with Nige saying "Callmmmm down Nige-ely diddly diddly diddly. They did their best, shoddily-iddly-iddly-diddly... gotta be *nice*, hostily-iddly-diddly-iddly.. AW HELL, DIDDLY-DING-DONG CRAP! CAN'T YOU MORONS DO ANYTHING RIGHT?"

Moving on, who will take home Jimmy? Max, fresh from his would-be GF winning double-ton? The currently deflated Neale & Grundy? Or will Cunnington upset? All will revealed!
