What is the likelihood of Whitfield playing ???

I have final upgrade in defence but with Logue omitted (better omitting the coach IMO)  and Duursma on extended bench
Hurn, Williams, Lloyd, Crisp, Houli LOGUE, DUURSMA, GARDINER

Could take Stewart but was prepared to wait for Whitfield
Option: Take Stewart then Luxury trade Houli to Whitfield but this would leave me 3 trades left
Thoughts anyone?

I'm in the same boat a little bit, been preparing to add Whitfield, but might have to settle for Stewart. Last thing I need is Whitfield to be a late out again, or heaven forbid get injured again..

same situation except naish for houli,   corona x 2 to wind down, cab/merlot for contemplation, decision AM manana.  weller, sicily, rich, hurn, goddard silvagni and d moore all under consideration.

Logue’s ruined my plans..

I can do Bewley > Dunkley and Logie > Stewart (leaves me with 6 trades and a complete team)

Or do I go Naish > Eggman (cover the donut), and next week get Dunkley, and hopefully Whitfield drops enough to bring him in..

Think Stewart and the extra trade might be the go.

I was thinking J Kelly to Bont, Setterfield to Hawkins.

Since then Cameron got 87 and Rowbottom 93 as emergencies. I'll take Cameron's 87 rather than trading in Hawkins this week for sure. And I'm tempted to take Rowbottom's 93 as well, and leave J Kelly on field.

This gives me a chance to ride out the next two (maybe three) weeks with J Kelly, potentially. Though I'm not sure what I'll do with f6, which is my last upgrade. Here's my team for context.

5 trades, 37k in the bank

Whitfield, Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Crisp, Sicily (Logue, Naish)

Macrae, J Kelly, Fyfe, Cripps, Oliver, Cunnington, Sloane, Gaff (Clarke, Rowbottom, Bewley)

Grundy, Goldstein (Bines)

Dangerfield, Boak, T Kelly, Heeney, Gray, Young (Cameron, Setterfield)

I have lots of half formed ideas but not really sure what to do with this. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Too many poor scores means going Kelly > Dunkley isnt worry it, I’ve either won or lost everywhere to the point that the 40ish extra points is earn from bringing Dunkley in over setters isn’t worth it.

I'd concentrate on upgrading your forward line to Dunkley or Daniel when he returns personally. You still have 5 trades and will need two to make this happen. For what its worth, I'm holding Josh Kelly in the hope he returns for finals. Sitting pretty in the top two in all my leagues and have cover for him at present. I have a full premo team but only have 3 trades left which Im holding for injury. You have no cover in defence at present so hold Kelly and 93 from Rowbottom is a godsend.

Thanks mate, I think you're right. I've put heaps of thought into this and still not 100% clear. But because I've got an easy game in my main league next week, I think I'll wait and see what happens now.

I might have the option of downgrading Clarke or Logue next week, then going either i) Setters up, or ii) Kelly to e.g. Kennedy and Setters to Dunkley.

There's a bit a to play out yet so let's see. Cheers for the feedback!

Ps. Cameron has been average lately, but may be due for a decent game? Do you take Setterfields 70 or take a punt on Cameron?
Will most probably get Astbury which will be a much tougher assignment than Garthwaite whom he matched up on last time.

Some weather around in Melbourne probably doesn't help Cameron either
