I'm prioritising points over $$ at this stage, did it last week with Hurn & not afraid of doing it this week with Whitfield. If he knocks out a 140 & Logue bombs then it becomes a good move.

Yeah I’d likely be more supportive of the move if Logue hadn’t proved he’s capable of scoring 100. He’s had one bad score anyway and it was still better than what Luke Ryan put up. It’s not like anyone is rushing to get Ryan off field now are they?
They might be rushing to get a guy who's averaged 43 before this season off though :P

Many stars averaged under 50 in their first year.. Neale, Hurn etc. How does that have relevance when judging Logue now?

I see a bit of a high standard deviation with Logue, probably similar to Collins for output. Don't think we can rely on 80+ scores every week but should be solid bench cover.

As for Whitfield, I'm hoping he kills it this week & gives me a leg up for this round and possibly next. At 560k he's at the expensive end of the spectrum but not outrageously priced. Not that enthused with the other defenders on offer, Luke Ryan perhaps but if you want my honest opinion, I think he slows down a bit from here. I don't like watching him either, think it's the hair-do but he irritates me a bit.

Have ROB covering Gawn so hopefully just the one trade and bring in Hurn.

Wow, you still have ROB, nice.  I traded him as soon as his bye hit to fix up the rest of my team.

Yeh kept him. Might have cost me a few points for those that traded him to a premo, but this was why.

Latest reports are they will name him and give him until late Saturday to get up but he is in serious doubt. Probably a late out which rules out any possibility of trading in Lycett to cover him as he will already have played.

Change of mind.
Out   Burgess  and Hore  using a DPP
In     Chol  (if named)  and  Hurn
5 trades to get Whitfield and Cunnington for complete side and probably 1 emergency trade. Would be a pretty strong side though and have the neccessary cover for Gawn, Danger and Cripps if required.

Considering trading O. Baker to Chol via Setterfield now. Lets me loop Setters and Clark, gain 130k as well.

I think I'll just deal with it if Gawn withdraws; at this point if you're trading him out you aren't trading him back in. That being said, if he withdraws before tomorrow night I'll move him to Grundy.

Or I could go Goldy to Grundy anyway......leaves me 234k and should only need 1 trade to go Logue > Lloyd/Whitfield in a fortnight...

Still can't decide what to do, Bewley out makes it more compelling to complete my Whitfield trade but Gawn looks goneski, the language being used by Goodwin & co. speaks of a week off (at least). Hoff is back & will be hungry too, think I'll just play it safe & bring in Hoff, plonk him at R3 & rest easy.

What really peeves me off is that Chol has been DPP for two years & has lost his ruck licence. Not happy Jan.

Just out of curiosity, what makes you so sure that Gawn is cooked?

Reports have become a lot more pessimistic compared to a couple of days ago, swelling hasn't subsided so he's only got 2 days to get that under control. I may be wrong on this but it would be very risky to assume he'll be ok.

No trades. got 7, gonna hold for a week. Clarke will cover Cripps and I'll just cop the Gawn donut if hes out. Will probably hurt my 985 ranking but oh well  ;D

With 7 trades up the sleeve I'd be grabbing some ruck cover.

Blues Blues Blues

Thinking:
1. Daniel to Jarrod Cameron (will be on bench, Setterfield on field)
2. Darrah Joyce to Whitfield

Will mean I have a full team (assuming Gawn plays).
