If you don't name a team, you get a warning/strike and the previous round's team.

That's what will happen to bchester if he doesn't name a team before the bounce tonight.

Can't allow people to name players once they've started playing, it's an unfair advantage. If they'd had a hot start and were already on 50 at the time of posting, then it's an easy choice to play them. On the flip side, if one of them had been injured in the opening minutes, then you could easily leave them out.

Besides, we've got lists of 54 in ADT and you're required to name 22 players any given week. You've got heaps of playing players to pick from if you wish to make any changes to the rest of your XVIII plus emergencies.

My tip is to name a team earlier in the week, I've recommended this to other coaches in the past, some of which have taken up that advice. I'm sure you have 5 mins somewhere in your week before Thursday to name a side, and then when it comes to the time on Thursday where you would usually name your team, you're only required to make quick and minimal changes, if at all.

Ultimately, it's not fair to count the scores of those who have been locked out when there's a clear notice that there's a partial lockout and players in that early game are locked at the bounce. And to repeat and be clear, Hurley and Taranto are treated as if they didn't play, so they get covered by emergencies, as opposed to donuts. Personally, I reckon that's a pretty good result for something that should probably be going punished.
