Hmmm thats frustrating - thanks for the update though gentleman - looks like Rocky to Macrae for me then.

Thinking Rocky to Treloar myself as I started with, and held, Macrae.  Not sure what I'll with my other trade.  I was tempted to go Worpel to Billings but there's a couple of rookies I need to correct (Cumming, Young, Corbett) so I might cull one of them.  Corbett to Rose looks the most likely.  I'd rather drop Young but I'd have to pay like 60k to get Rose in for him.  That might be worth it in the long run though as I don't really have any other issues other than upgrading two more backmen when my rookies there are ready.

My team so far is looking like this with just the Rocky > Treloar trade:

Lloyd, Houli, Laird, Daniel, Logue, Naish - Answerth, Cumming

Kelly, Treloar, Gaff, B. Crouch, Macrae, Fiorini, Fyfe, Brayshaw - Clarke, Bewley

Got Walters and Rockliff out this week :( Thankfully the rest of my mids should be named and I have Caleb to swing fwd to cover Walters (Gardner and Burgess the bench otherwise).

I'm thinking:

Cumming -> Laird

Wouldn't it be more beneficial to trade Rocky to Boak, along with a Burgess/Gardner to Hanrahan, this week, allowing ROB and Baker to gain more cash with their low BEs? And then you can up/down them next week with an extra 60-80k to play with which will help fixing that midfield.

Can never have enough cash, and that would only be the case if you didn't upgrade Baker next week, but I'm suggesting you do. Can you guarantee Rockliff will be back as well? If we assume he comes in, it's basically, from next week, Taranto/Duncan (for example), Duursma, & 60k vs Rockliff, & Laird. Duurs isn't the end of the world to hold for another week and could obviously do that upgrade to Laird the week after. Either way works really, just throwing out another option :)

Certainly an option I'm now considering aha. I was pretty stuck on what to do this week, nothing really stood out and probably in the long run it would be better to let the rookies gain more coin.
