Please pledge funds to help fight cancer! Examples of ways you can help:
1.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug nails the top captain of the round.
2.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug's POD cracks the 120 mark.
3.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug gets egg on his face and his number 1 scores under 100.
4.   Make a once off donation.

Did you know that this is the 9th year I've done this? I'll continue to help with a smile and free of charge but, if you want to thank me, please donate to my charity efforts! Each week I will tell you some statistics on a player's last 3 games, their last 3 against this week's opponent, and their last 3 at this ground. I will also do a quick overview on my thoughts and have a guess at their score for this week. From all this, I'll give you my top 5 captain choices for the week and a speicial POD choice.

We have a partial lockout this week for the West Coast vs. Essendon game which means we can use the CAPTAINS LOOPHOLE!

How it works:

1.   Select a player from the Eagles or Bombers as your VICE CAPTAIN.
2.   For now, set your captain to someone worthy of captaincy in another game in case you forget to change it.
3.   IF your VC scores really well, sub a non-playing player onto the field and set them as captain (super easy with the byes).
4.   Make sure you have an emergency in the position of your non-playing captain (if you're lucky enough to have one)!

The facts & thoughts:

Andrew Gaff
Last 3: 91, 123, 120 (111 avg)
Last 3 against Essendon: 114, 95, 131 (113 avg)
Last 3 at Perth: 123, 126, 144 (131 avg)

The best VC option this week in AF. Gaff loves playing at home and should have no problems against the Bombers. Prediction - 130

Zach Merrett
Last 3: 99, 102, 117 (106 avg)
Last 3 against West Coast: 103, 126, 123 (117 avg)
Last 3 at Perth: 103, 78 (91 avg)

If you want someone different, you could give Merrett a go instead. He's been good against the Eagles in the past but I'm worried about Hutchings tagging him. Prediction - 105

Max Gawn
Last 3: 148, 126, 132 (135 avg)
Last 3 against Fremantle: 124, 110, 125 (120 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 148, 132, 121 (134 avg)

Just save yourself the trouble and lock him in. Max has a great rolling average but the kicker is that Freo is without their number one ruck in Lobb. Prediction - 140

Patrick Dangerfield
Last 3: 162, 108, 88 (119 avg)
Last 3 against Port: 109, 125, 115 (116 avg)
Last 3 at AO: 132, 151, 109 (131 avg)

Danger loves playing in Adelaide and is coming off a huge 162 before the bye. I like him here against Port. Prediction - 130

Jack Macrae
Last 3: 140, 69, 77 (95 avg)
Last 3 against Collingwood: 109, 113, 116 (113 avg)
Last 3 at Docklands: 140, 77, 99 (105 avg)

Macrae as my POD last week did very well and should be good against the Pies this week. Beware though, they're difficult to score against (same concern with Dunkley this week). Prediction - 115

Brodie Grundy
Last 3: 95, 112, 149 (119 avg)
Last 3 against Bulldogs: 153, 124, 94 (124 avg)
Last 3 at Docklands: 99, 89, 124 (104 avg)

Grundy loves to beat up on Tim English and gets another shot this week. 153 last time they matched up and it may get as ugly again. The only thing stopping him taking number one from Max this week is that he's much better at the MCG than Docklands. Prediction - 140

Adam Treloar
Last 3: 124, 74, 114 (104 avg)
Last 3 against Bulldogs: 82, 130, 125 (112 avg)
Last 3 at Docklands: 120, 130, 96 (115 avg)

If you want to give the C to a midfielder instead of a ruck (for whatever insane reason) then Treloar's a very good choice. He's been big against the Bulldogs in the past and he like to rack it up under the roof. Prediction - 125

LAHUG'S POD!

Mitch Duncan
Last 3: 144, 82, 118 (115 avg)
Last 3 against Port: 90, 109, 110 (103 avg)
Last 3 at AO: 103, 83, 90 (92 avg)

I think Duncan has slipped back under the radar because he copped a tag a few weeks ago. I backed him against the Tigers (although I wish I'd gone Danger) and I think he'll do well again this week. Potential - 135

The verdict:
1.   Max Gawn (140)
2.   Brodie Grundy (140)
3.   Patrick Dangerfield (130)
4.   Andrew Gaff (130)
5.   Adam Treloar (125)

worried about hutchings tag but not clarke!  ???

Was thinking Gaff into Duncan, but Gawn is a strong possibility after his 30+ touch game before the bye.
