Goldstein (Dublin) and McEvoy (Seoul) are a very distant 3rd and 4th, with the Alliances highest averager so far this season sitting 5th in Pacific's Jarrod Witts. Oh my! AAP have come out firing, with Islander Rory Laird contributing beautifully, but it was Buenos Aires' Reilly O'Brien that has turned the game on its head, with an AMAZING 181! He may be in the emergencies, but his contribution will put AAP 18 points ahead with one less player! I actually think this could be an unassailable lead, because there are no scrubs playing in this match...

... oh, Bachar Houli (New Delhi), I didn't see you there... how much did you hear?

Thank god for Destroyer Rory Sloane who has kept EurAsia SOMEWHAT in it, with teammate Matt Crouch also underperforming on the big stage. EurAsia will need some big contributions just to break-even at this point. Game on.

Ricophants chose the wrong Crouch! Dublin's Brad Crouch so far tops the salty seconds with 129, whilst teammate Dustin Martin (108) would have only performed marginally better than Matt.

For AAP, Cairo's Alex Keath (109) would have been handy, but would have been a hard one to pick.

Only one player was involved from the above two teams - the man mountain himself - Rio's Patrick Cripps. But, exhausted from his 194 last week, he has shat the bed and put in a stinking 78... AND as VC! AAP have used their VC potential loophole too, which leaves them open to a potential bad C score.

EurAsia would be thrilled with this result! But, so much work lies ahead.

Salty Seconds

Gee it would have been hard to pick, but Seoul's Charlie Curnow (154) might end up being the saltiest second for the round. EurAsia need scores like that to catch up. Moscow's Petrevski-Seton (111) would have been handy, but I wouldn't say Ricophants would be regretful at either player really, too left field.

For AAP, Toronto's Matthew Kreuzer (119) would have put up a respectable effort in the ruck (which used to be a problem for AAP), whilst Mexico City's Anthony Miles (118) would have put in a decent innings too.
